Are you using LTE or Octa?

Darn....just found out, its the Slim Armor View Casing. The audio port hole is so precise and small, it only allows the very thin audio jack jacket of original Samsung earphone jack to plug in FULLY. Should have make the port hole large enuf for all standard jack jacket.

A very major flaw cause most ppl would switch out the stock earphone for a much better ones or linkage to external speaker. The current audio port hole just does not allow any other jack other than Samsung original.

I almost always waited at least 3-4 months after release before buying a smartphone to allow them to solve issues arising from new phone tech and design. Almost price almost certainly drop a great deal after 3-4 months period.

Not blame lar...its the fact. Blame S4 earlier, my fault cause it looks like all the jacks goes thru till the base, never realise they did not go in fully as their jack base hit the casing tightly and heard LTE has problem with non 32ohm ear piece and speakers, so wrong judgement.

Once manx mentioned his can work, slowly pull the phone out of casing, the 3.5mm jack went thru all the way and earphone detected by phone.

Cannot wor!!! Got chastity wear. Tak boleh masuk fully, not enuf geseran, no sound lor. Have to remove wear only can go in fully but removing it is quite troublesome and can hurt the add on skin...

If you not sell yet, I can take from you. Menara Citibank, walking distance to KLCC. Can prepare in advance for wife future usage coz armor view black although looks super cool, its not really suited for women who prefer more colourful looks.

At RM50 !!!!! Got meh..haha...you can have a go first. If no sell, only I get the chance lor...since nearby.

Apa extra lubang on top? Original already 1 big hole audio jack, 1 small hole (don't know what beside the audio jack) and 1 medium hole (IR kuah).

Oh now you said it, just notice it on SGP korea website, that's a big hole....

Is that why you get the US version from Isetan, don't like extra hole?

Have to wait at earliest October to get it and that will be at the most premium pricing. Looks what price S4 LTE release a couple of months ago. If want a stabilize price, have to wait at least 3-4 months after release.

Should try out Slim Armor View black. Truly rocks.....except for that hole too small for standard 3.4mm jack. Bet the same goes for Neo. The matte feels and looks makes looks quite different from standard slim armor with shiny plastic. It does not feel plastic at all. Heard the white do tho.

S-View function very nicely, you only oiled the outside cover with your face, cover click shut solidly. The cover when folded back felt surprisingly nicer to hold that those soft leather or cover folder back with a bulk at the area with it folded. The pins holding the front cover folder back tightly thus not bulking out in your palm.

Unlike what most ppl felt abt the hard to press button, for me the button at least for Armor View was done right. Minimize chances of accidental press but do not need to force press it. Just firmly press the button anyway also can active, so scratching my head on some ppl comment, maybe its just me or armor view might have some difference than slim armor.

Strongly recommend the casing if you want full protection, looks super cool (black), maximise used of S-View features. Of course using Nano ante up the game due to its super smooth glass touch with ALWAYS clear and sharp screen. Always have problem with oily finger print, nano practically eliminate that irritation.

If you find it offensive, don't read. I notice you tend to view things negatively coz I'm complimenting Armor View.

Got lots of info from guys here, tot would contribute my view. Don't need to piss me off.

Err....I recommend that very expensive SGP Slim Armor "View", only the black colour due to its matte feel and cool factor as well thus no plastic feel vs white color.

If vs standard slim armour, I would go for neo hybrid instead.

I won't compared it with 16GB 3G coz no LTE and 16GB sucks.

HTC

Pro

- best looking metallic body
- excellent audio output with twin front speaker
- good low-light camera
- using IPS LCD with good daylight view and natural colour
- Sense with Blink if you like sense
- Cheaper than S4 LTE

Cons

- metallic body comes with slightly weaker signal with heavier weight, good looking body must be used nude coz if covered up with protective case, apa good look also useless
- camera weak on daylight shoot and can be pixelated due to lower megapixel.
- OS update "might" be long in coming and no upgrade continuation after a year or so based on past track records.
- No external SD storage, so you're stuck with 32GB if you want to load up photos, movies, HD games etc.
- Only 4.7" screen view. Smaller even than S3.
- No battery changes
- Although fast processor, its slower than S4.
- Sense with Blink if you hate Sense (I hate the vertical apps menu scrolling and lack of pull down shortcuts although they put in some in recent updates but not enuf).

S4 LTE

Pro
- Light weight, plastic body. Yes, its a pro coz light weight.
- 13MB with good day light camera
- AMOLED view with sharp colouring.
- External SD Card and Battery.
- 5" screen view
- Faster processor than HTC One.
- Touchwiz ShortCut pull down menu. I find that essential and is one of the reason I choose it over HTC.
- Based of past track record, should update OS up to 2 years or so for high end models.

Cons
- Plastic body. Its also a con for some ppl.
- Low light camera shot not so good.
- Weak audio speaker vs HTC One boosted ones.
- Touchwiz Overglutted not very useful inbuilt apps taking up space and memory unnecessarily.
- Way more expensive than HTC One.

Both got their pro and cons.

TFT LCD is much brighter thus can see in sunlight while Amoled practically blinded in sunlight. Major advantage of LCD.

TFT LCD

- Accurate and natural colour scheme. Some will call it washout and dull after a while but some like it.
- Uses LED as backlight thus has a thicker screen.
- Bright or black color makes no difference in power consumption. Overall consume more power.
- TFT tends to have longer lifespan than OLED, tho its light will dim after years.

AMOLED

- Bright colour scheme, thus looks more lively and sharper, tho not as accurate in color reproduction. Some call it too saturated to be natural.
- Black colour is preferred where the black pixel consume no power at all thus if using dark color scheme, its consume the least power. Its colour black is pure black
- LED is built into each individual pixel thus thinner screen.
- OLED has much shorter life span when colour deteriorated.

As 666 mentioned, SGP cases usually abt RM100-RM125 else all suspected to be fake.

Slim Armor View retailed here at RM170 - RM 180.

These are all high quality imported products, I don't think someone will import very big bulk of such high pricing items as these items mostly last at most a year on the shelf before another model takeover. So don't expect price to be cheap unless its 2nd hand.

Saw 1 post by Spigen staff mentioning Nano got no break resistance protection for Gorilla Glass underneath. Too thin.

However it mentioned Slim TR does have that feature due to its extra thickness.

There are 3 main functions of Nano.

1. Higher resistance to scratch, its much harder to scratch than most non-glass SP. Not scratch proof tho.

2. Ultra Smooth and Clear Screen. Very sharp and clear screen, and no distortion due to its thinness. IMO, the best feature is its ultra smooth touch. Exactly the same as the gorilla glass below. You just CAN'T get the same smoothness from plastic SP. After this, you won't want to glide your finger thru normal SP again.

3. Fingerprint /Oil resistant coating. Getting Oleophobic coated SP does the same but these SP has less scratch resistance in return. Maintain clear screen at all time.

I used to wipe oil of my SP every night for S2 using wet tissue. Dry wiping just doesn't work for oil distorted screen with RM10 SP. Now just a wipe with finger, oil and fingerprint if any will disappear.
