Mmm...Satu Gadget price for LTE goes up from 2078 to 2149. DirectD LTE screen gone (expired). WellLink and abcdotcom still 2079. How come price goes up....stock drying up?

The active camera is 8mp instead of 13mp and screen is LCD instead of amoled. LCD is much brighter when used during sunlight but color is a bit duller. SME Active in Malaysia is 16GB vs LTE 32GB thus the cheaper pricing at RM17++ range.

Finally beh tahan and bought LTE yesterday from my Klang usual dealer.

Asked him to install Glas.T Nano for me. Professional sure makes a difference coz he installed both the Nano and the softer rear SP for the rear cover (comes with nano) within 2-3 minutes combined at most. No dust, no bubble. superb.

Thank goodness I did not try installing myself coz when I try to install the very small piece of SP for my Armor Slim View casing, also can kena dust, luckily small piece, can use blade to lift it up abit and use cello to pick out the dust and lint. Imagine the much bigger pieces of both Nano glass and its rear SP.

Used 4-6 hours re-updating the new phone, apps and transfer call logs and whatsapp history and all my media files over from my old trusty S2. Hit a 32GB scandisk ultra class 1 (bought b4 finding out scandisk class 10 ultra got some inherent failure worldwide).

After those hours of installation, my self doubt of getting S4 instead of waiting for Note 3 disappear. Although initially screen size does not appear much bigger than S2 (thus my doubt), after using a while it IS noticeable bigger, sharper and my eyes does not strain anymore.

Still if Note 3 turns out to be SUPERB, if budget permit, might switch after S5 release a couple of months (big price drop as usual), then only can afford a 32GB version if available. I think S2 might strain my wife eyes also coz she got MUCH worse eyesight than me.

As for Glas.T Nano, its so clear that I practically does not notice a glass SP there except for that outline near sensors. No oily fingerprint smug at all and ultra smooth, no regret paying RM130 for it.

On the Slim Armor View black casing, superb fit, solid and beautiful (for a guy, gals would not prefer pure black). Door can click shut quite tight. Definitely WON'T open accidentally. Premium Matte feel and looks all over the casing instead of those plastic feeling. When the front cover fold to the bag, the door clip act as a stand lifting the cover up thus preventing the glass view (on cover) from scratching the table. It feels like a floor stand for S4 when putting flat on table with flip cover folded back.

Camera view when fold cover folder back is indeed partially block, but then I always takes shots with those flip cover hanging instead of folding back, so no issue for me. At first feel weird when flip cover fold back with my palm and fingers holding the clip (jutting out for door shut) but after a while, it feels so natural that practically hold my folded back cover by those clips and minimize accidental touch of flip cover screen.

While SP was provided for outside cover screen view, the other side when cover flip back will be exposed thus would have prefer another SP to protect that as well but no big issue coz most time scratches will happen on the outside screen. Might have some finger old smug on the inside view glass when holding flip cover back tho. Side button a bit hard to press tho. Since I used Glas.T Nano instead of TR, go not issue on pressing the main button (forgot what's is call) at the bottom of the screen, since it has no curve in on the hold as Nano is very slim.

A detailed review on GlasT. Nano and Slim Armor View coz some ppl express interest in it and I'm old man mah....long breath wan....or would you prefer a much shorten review such as ....

Since no one is mentioning this, biggest difference between LTE and non-LTE is the 32GB vs 16GB inbuilt storage memory. So your paying the extra RM300-400 not just for LTE but to get that extra 16GB storage memory that makes a big difference if you use your phone to play lots of HD games. So if you can afford it, LTE version is the one to go.

If you used internet a lot, there is also a big difference in browsing speed between 3G and 4G. Try groupon with all those pictures download and scrolling, you will see the difference in speed. I cannot tahan going back to 3G download speed after that just like upgrading from 1MB streamyx to 5MB unifi.

On my Slim Armor View, the buttons is quite ok. It only need slightly more force to press the button than without the casing but I've never fail in pressing them, even pressing lightly. I find it quite useful tho cause it actually minimize accidental press, just purposely press slightly with more force, it will activate.

Why want to set off LTE network? Its just like 3G->H->H+->4G, becoming part of your usual internet bandwidth increment depending on signal strength. No activation or deactivation (assuming you have at least 1 GB data plan for Maxis).

If you really don't want LTE, just set network mode to GSM/WDCMA, you won't see LTE appearing in your internet connection but I don't see any point in doing that.

As mentioned before S4 3G only has 16GB memory vs S4 LTE 32GB thus justify the price difference besides the LTE. Current S4 3G processor is not optimized thus the better processor is still LTE snapdragon on battery life and balanced performance.

Nope, just of the best and the most popular but all smartphones has their respective weakness thus no best. Currently HTC One is on par with S4, losing and winning of difference features.

I'm drawn to HTC One as well but based on HTC track record on OS upgrade....(my S2 was considered with HTC Sensation.....bought S2, upgraded OS to 4.0 ICS and this year 4.1.2 Jellybean, Sensation is dead in water in OS upgrade).

Although metal body of HTC is superb, when covered in protective casing (like my slim armor view), apa beauty also cannot see. No SD card slot also susah, since need to store pics and music. Only thing I want from HTC will be its twin speaker stereo front facing audio.

What the highest end kah? Next month Note 3 launch....estimated October or November released, the best will come if you want a phablet. Usually note has the best of all specs as the use the s series as blueprint and fine-tune to the best phone yet.

Currently, I would say S4 LTE 32GB will be the best bet for future proof. Stick an ultra-smooth RM130 Glas.T Nano or Glas.TR, with a cool looking protective (not those celup one) original casing, SGP Slim Armor View (to make full use of S-View and full protection), SGP Neo Hybrid or UAG (if ruggedness is to your liking).....you get the best combo for available now.

I'm not sure myself but LTE is the increased bandwith speed, not increase data size. If you view the same page, I doubt it will transmit more data, just way faster. Those say use more data.....coz when you have much higher speed, you tend to browse more often thus increase in data usage. Trust me, you won't want to go back to streamyx 1GB when you have tasted UNIFI.

If budget is a concern, of course S4 3G is till a viable option but if asking for future proof and long term usage with HD games playing, S4 3G will be lacking. For me S4 LTE is like a full spec car while S4 3G is a lesser spec car of same model. You can live with both but you won't get to enjoy the maximum potential of the car if you get that lesser spec ones but many with budget constraint has live with it. Its RM400 different between S4 LTE and 3G, with addition of LTE and extra 16GB memory, some who already spend near 2K may as well go for the most relevant models but if you hit that limit, the lesser models usually are more widely purchased.

Nano (I'm using it) is ultra thin, almost invisible, only slightly thicker than standard SP. It does not have deep curve on home button thus no need those Jelly Bean home button add-on. Its smoothness is incredible, similar to gorilla glass screen without SP visible. It however does not help on gorilla screen crack minimization. Its very light. If you like to use various casing including non SGP cases, Nano was designed to fit in most casing since its very thin.

TR thicker glass has some screen break protection capability (help minimize chances of gorilla glass cracking from impact) but it does has a deep gorge on the home button, jelly bean button will be preferred to easily press the button. Its side is more visible and adds a bit to the weight of the phone. Otherwise, they are quite the same in functions and features. Not all casing are fit compatible due to its extra thickness thus the only guaranteed compatible casing is the SGP ones. If you like to change different casing, you will have to try your phone on them before purchasing those casing.

Buy lar SGP Slim Armor View, a bit heavier but ultra solid with S-View and frontal protection...of course only if using original casing. Otherwise, Neo Hybrid will be dish.

Ya kah....never realise that coz straight get Armor View liao....now very hard to pull it out, don't bother trying hard yet.

Wait for Note 3 launch next month. Price will drop.

Anyway, I wonder whether Slim Armor and Slim Armor View buttons material is different or not coz you guys keep mentioning hard to press. I lost count of how many accidental pressing of both the volume and power buttons.

Although volume buttons are not as sensitive as without casing, a firm and not even forceful press will activate it liao. Light touch won't do, so minimize accidental pressing like those without button casing. Still I kena a few time accidental pressing tho much much less occurance. Love it better than without button casing due to that.

Power button do require slightly more force than without casing, but every time I firm press also works, no need force press at all.

Yesterday plug a cable from my altec lancing surround speakers to S4 LTE....can't even detect. Also cannot detect my JVC headphones. The only thing that works is the original earphone.

My JVC headphone is 32ohm also but cannot work. This is one of Samsung inherent improvement failure, even my S2 works with all the devices above. Now I cannot listen to mp3 songs from phone for a drive thru Civic (don't have MP3 player there, so usually plug in thru aux port). This is a step backward for audio department. Cannot attached to any speakers at all.
