Hmmm... In other words a marketing gimmick that failed to operate properly and succeeded to rake in sales?

The video demos are good but in reality it sucks. And if you look deeply into those videos it just shows writing few words only. I have said before if one try do some extensive note writing on it I guaranteed user will tear his hair n throw the phone against the wall!!!

And also Sony's adv for XZU " The only Full HD Waterproof smartphone " was also very misleading as there are others beside it and even launched b4 XZU was announced . Beside pencil , not all stylus works for XZU , the tip to be a specific size , think it's 4mm or wider , something like that . . And if u write fast , unlike Note2 , it cant recognize what you are trying to write .
If u r not a stylus user and want it for the big screen , it's worth a try as battery life is acceptable for a screen that size . If u want it to replace your Note2 for the stylus input , u will be very disappointed .

I believe that a lot of people do not make fulluseofthe Stylus

So as a media consumption ddevice it is fantastic butthen makes it simply a huge phablet.
This post written with my stylus.
*
I do fully utilise the S pen on my Note 2. In conditions where typing is inconvenient.

However a desktop sized QWERTY keyboard will be my top preference. Since I do type faster than I write even on paper.

Indeed. Very, very misleading. I've tried it that day with a Parker pen and it didn't work.

Yep. If you're comprehending the term "Full HD" as 1980 x 1080, probably they are misleading consumers. I guess Full HD is a phrase to describe a screen being very clear.

As for waterproof, even the Samsung S4 Active is taking in water damaged sets for replacements. Very misleading indeed for both Sony and Samsung.

That day me and my friend tried the XZU with our S pens, both Note 1 and Note 2 spen failed. As mentioned above, ball point pens didn't work either. Over at /k/, kampung2005 managed to write something with the pencil and had positive response from him.

Screen time. Acceptable, but no godlike right biggrin.gif ?

I managed to get only one ballpen out of 14 I have ( all inkless) to work with the XZU. Infact I m using it extensively with it replacing my finger. It works equally well as a pencil.
SOT consistently 6+ hours with 3g using 80% of time. Very happy with battery life can easily match Note2

My take on "waterproof" devices are that it's just an insurance against spillage and accidental quick (less than 30s) dunking. It should not be license to bring it to a pool or bathtub brows.gif snaps unless you're really into that sort of stuff (perhaps alexng2208 will be familiar with that sort of thing whistling.gif )

And about "marketing gimmick" ......

A comment from the post on fruitco's new ban against Samsung.

That's really the problem isn't it - people don't think for themselves, they rely on talking heads on Fox News or MSNBC (or even G+) to convince them what to think. There is no substitution for critical thinking and independent research

XZU's screen is an incremental improvement on the standard capacitive screen, that is why the Note stylus cannot be used on the XZU's or any other screens.

Active digitizers are still the best digitizer technology for now, since it can differentiate between your body's resistance vs the electronics in the stylus.

isheep will probably become samsungfags coz they follow the marketing. .. however the lawsuit has merit due to a different class of law where this is concerned.

Ex isheep samsungfags will probably be as annoying as isheep...which gives samsung a bad name. Unfortunately that's what happens when people simply follow marketing.

If only the screen size is not that big, I would have bought the XZU last week. I'm impressed with the screen and the waterproof capability. Can bring to bathtub and relax. laugh.gif

Euro 200 is a subsidy from company to buy new phone and I recently received a recognition of Euro 200 which can be used to buy anything. That makes up Euro 400 which is quite a lot. tongue.gif

XZU is pushing the limits and since u don't use handbags it will never fit in your pockets tongue.gif

If I never experienced the joys of active digitizer stylus use I would have gotten the xzu. I will hold out a bit for note 3 tongue.gif

QUOTE(Gary @ Aug 10 2013, 11:07 AM)
Hi all sifus
I am a gn2 user with os 4.1.2
Sim card faulty and is unable to detect maxis signal.
Changed the sim card and it can detect the signal.

Back then before I change the sim card, my note 2 can hook to q signal very fast ie from basement to my condo.
After changing sim card it takes forever for my note 2 to find the signal after exiting from basement car park.
Even though it have no logo of G, E, or H I can still use the voice cause the signal bar is full. But data is a no go. And my friend cant even call me when I am on full bar.......not until I turn on flight mode on and off then onlu the phone will come back with the H or E logo.
Advise please. ..my phone koyak or a problem sim?
*
You can try with a friend's sim and if that works it's likely your sim. If not then it's the sim module.
