Ok. just want to help., because i have been into this before.

For the start there will be exam that u just take. It more about iQ test and quick thinking.

Then if i remember correctly. U will be conducted to 1 week interview (like the apperentice). this the hard part. U will be tested with public speaking both bm and malay for 5-10 minutes. debate. involvement in group. group member will be different everyday. running 2.5 km in 12 minutes. etc.

After that if i am not mistaken 1 year training and get another diploma (public admin). and a post interview.

This job is for who can speak well, charismatic, beautiful and handsame. must look good in coat. It's for future leader in u. IF u have what it takes. It's a training for diplomat, ambassador, DO and high ranking official. U must can tell a lie and look good at the same time.

In short, the best job in the governmet.
How far can u go? Our PM is a PTD . and he is in islamic studies. what u hold is not important. its what u are.










P.s : I failed on the 1 week
That's why i think the job is for certain personality.

After the exam, there's this Program Assesment Center (PAC) like the above poster said, some sort of 1-week interview. You will be tested on everything, public speaking, ur ethics, fitness etc..

If you pass the PAC, then u'll be call for interview.

If you are appointed, you must attend Public Administration Diploma course. There's a lot of interesting modules with the PDRM (you will experience handling police road-blocks), Army (shooting M16), Bomba, Anak Angkat Program, Biro Tatanegara & etc)

PTD M41 is to fill up administration post, less technical, (Penolong Pengarah at Govt Department, Penolong Setiausaha at Ministry level, District Officer at State level) Its a "gunasama' post where JPA can attach you anywhere in the world.

If you have technical degree (engineering,IT,etc) and you love to do technical work, i advice you not to take PTD, as it will be very boring, attend meeting, doing administrative work, budget, etc... but its a very powerful position. They are the future KSU & Director General of Govt Ministries & Department

Great ! . It's just a beginning. Passing the written test clearly you are sane for this job . Anyway like others said, PAC is the hardest. Well I bet the last interview is tough too. Let's see how well we can play the game. The numbers of each intake is limited. Therefore it's a good experience to go through the test eventhough we failed

Any degree will fit the post. The location of your first posting somewhat depends on your degree. Eg: If you are a Civil Engineering graduate, most likely you'll send to Ministry of Works; Account or Bussiness Degree to Ministry of Finance/Treasury/Audit, etc.. you got the picture right?

The possibility of promotion for PTD is quite easy compare to other service as the PTD people "control" this process in JPA/Govt. One or two years after confirmation, depends on your performance & PTK exams (for promotion, naik gaji & etc) most likely you'll be promoted to higher grade (M44 Principal Assistant Director/Secretary)

For you guys who passed the exams they will call you for PAC next.

Some tips for PAC:

1. If you know the terms "poyo" - then be one. But dont go overboard.
2. If you think that 10mins before a session start is early - other people have been there 30mins before.
3. Bright shirt means white shirt
4. "Kasut kulit bertumit" - means no loafers
5. For men, shave your facial hair everyday.

one question,are u a PTD rite now?

the running for 2.4km in 12 minits... is that going to be done everyday for the period of PAC? anybody have beeen to the PAC before? must pass the test eh? better start my fitness training now...

My friends that was successful in attending the PAC told me that the running test will only being held once. Yup, you need to pass the test before you could attend the PAC.

No I failed my interview back in 2003. I choosed to join another service now.



Just once, u should try to get lower than 15mins. It's just a fitness test to see whether you are physically fit to become a civil servants.

the 2.4 km run be done on a track or run around the building facilities? need to start mental training.... hehe... running around a track is more mental supporting i guess?
