Buy the S800 la. Samsung couldn't handle their own shit at all this time, so Exynos 5410 sucked big time. 5420 is probably having some production issues and Samsung still hasn't learned how to produce their own LTE chip.

So bro, we all know Exynos 5x sux. Lag is in S4 and S3, not Note 2, and we don't know about Note 3 yet. Still, you also wait for your programs to start on your PC/Notebook...and nobody complains about it. Lag is not do or die.

So since you do not have firsthand experience, you should state that "review sites have tested and the results suck" instead of saying "it sucks".

The Note 2 glossy plastic is a fingerprint magnet. The Note 1's textured back, and now the Note 3's textured back, should be far far less of a problem.

If you believe Qualcomm, 4 core s800 is about equal with 4 core exynos a15. Anyway octa just means u have 4+4, not 8.

Octa is comprised of 4xA15 cores and 4xA7 cores. It is the A7 that provide sufficient computing power at lowest watt consumption. A15 kicks in for heavy tasks....but now come to think of it, how does it interact with the GPU....the physics part....

S4 thread page 1 should have some comparison since the S4 is where the Octa was first used.

Do note that there are now 2 generations of Exnynos Octa, the 5410 and 5420. The 5410 is in the S4, and they had some major screw up with the core cluster controller. I'm sure they tried to fix this in the 5420, but it looks like they haven't succeeded, otherwise they will be promoting it like crazy.

If they fixed it, some enterprising hacker will be able to run all 8 cores together.

Qualcomm is taking a different approach and is not full A15. They optimized A9 with some A15 design elements, so that they created their own hybrid instead of paying full ARM license fees.

So is it faux leather, or textured plastic ? I mean both are plastic, but faux leather is a separate layer that gets laminated on, and may peel with prolonged heat exposure and rough handling. Textured plastic should ensure that nothing can peel off.

It is microusb .... 3.0.

It has 2 sections. 1 section is the same plug as the microusb 2.0, the 2nd part when you use a microusb 3 cable you get 10x speeds...hopefully.

I have not tried, but the cable is supposed to be backwards compatible, and if you read Xeactorz's post a little earlier it states you can use the current cable for 1 part of the port. Will add to post 2.

MOST IMPORTANTLY....it is STANDARDS COMPLIANT, not proprietary like some other well known ecosystem.
