When Note II was about to launch in Malaysia, I was holidaying in Hanoi - Vietnam. I went and checked out the demo unit there because somehow they had it earlier than us here.

No direct HDMI port is a bit disappointing especially when mobile phones these days are more than a device just to make calls. It is a piece of entertainment device and HDMI is so common nowadays...

Guys..go and watch the hands on video from Engadget..from homescreen, slide up from the bottom and you will have a flipboard homescreen ala blinkfeed style from HTC One..

One thing that bugs me is that in homescreen, you can only place 4 icons instead of 5

i think at this point/year. most companies is out of innovation and design. what they can do is to enhance their OS/function/battery life/etc. (yeah, battery life is the most important thing for me. imagine note 2 with 3 days use at least on full hrs usage )
smartphone is juz a big rectangular(?) with curve corner

I'd say the phone industry is saturated. We hardly get any breakthrough besides pumping up the clock speed and the cores. It's just like the PC industry 8-10 years back. Once saturated, we can't expect much from the manufacturers. Unless they are launching the bendable AMOLED or maybe transparent battery or phone kind of thing. then u will feel something different. But dont go too far, let's start with bezel-less

It's not the lens that matter, it's the processor capable to shoot 4K. Snapdragon 800.

other than that nothing special on Note III, just lighter and 3g ram and faster 

SD800 and 4K is the most highlighted items on the Note 3 in this thread and yet don't think anybody makes the full usage out of it
