QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 5 2013, 08:22 AM) my quick few cents... Not really bro . Latest proton kena bash 9 9 . Proton Suprima s . Do u know Suprima is actually a brand of a diaper , mostly for adults , overseas ? I really cant help but agree with those bashing on proton on this . Seriously ? Naming your model aka our national car after a diaper brand ? Malaysia Boleh !!!! * samsung bashing. it only means that Samsung has 'arrived'. its onyl when you're BIG that you get the attention. would anyone be bothered if i said the new Proton Saga came with say... built-in android TV? no one cares much about Proton. so, Samsung bashing... it only means Samsung is BIG. * thin bezel & the 'leather back' ... now i wonder how practical will those phone cases be... its gonna be hard to design a 'well rounded' protection for Note 3 with these two new 'features'. * 4k recording... sadly... i find it useless. at least now for the next 2-3 years. how many own a 4k TV? and can your 4k recording be displayed in its full 4k glory on the phone's screen? yes, this is very much like last year's (and the year b4) Note 2 where it could record 1080p video, but screen only 720p. but at least 1080p TV is more accessible. but 4k TV...?!? Cant blame them , Samsung thinks consumer r rich or maybe Samsung gonna launch their " economically friendly price " 4K TV soon . Like someone is gonna spend above 50k for a TV that dont even cost 5k resale value a few years down the road QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Sep 5 2013, 08:54 AM) i like leather Well bro , that's what forumers of xzu ( no offence to xzu owners here k but from other forums ) feels about their device , being the "biggest full hd" screen , " premier feel " that cost a bomb to replace any parts , blablabla till someone prove them wrong .i like metal, and both of them are fake, i still like them only 5.7? check out your iphones... still 4" lol... iphone front never change since iphone 2, what say the people? Samsung seems to have run out of innovation and design i think at this point/year. most companies is out of innovation and design. what they can do is to enhance their OS/function/battery life/etc. (yeah, battery life is the most important thing for me. imagine note 2 with 3 days use at least on full hrs usage smartphone is juz a big rectangular(?) with curve corner |

I'd say the phone industry is saturated. We hardly get any breakthrough besides pumping up the clock speed and the cores. It's just like the PC industry 8-10 years back. Once saturated, we can't expect much from the manufacturers. Unless they are launching the bendable AMOLED or maybe transparent battery or phone kind of thing. then u will feel something different. But dont go too far, let's start with bezel-less

one thing i respect is they always release with latest OS..see Z1..4.2.2..booo
and they always be the first among manufactures to provide OS update (for flagship device) anyway, i still hate touchwiz & menu button so my target now only Z1 or Nexus 5.. One thing for sure, this device definitely will hit.. Good job Samsung. This post has been edited by maks_pain: Sep 5 2013, 09:28 AM |

QUOTE(sai86 @ Sep 5 2013, 09:08 AM) read that on note 10.1. this year IFA is all about NOTE line-up. very interesting feature i caught from an article. i hope some1 in xda will make it available to us. (oh i know they will, juz matters of time ooh... i guess so hence the "note the date" tagline thingy. the 10.1 is really good though as a kitchen top counter / more of a fixed tablet at home kinda device. in xda, everything apk will be leaked (actually already leaked) QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Sep 5 2013, 09:12 AM) Sounds disappointing. Samsung seems to have run out of innovation and design a little i agree. nothing "new" perse but rather a refinement on a successful formula. better from every aspect me thinks. talking about design innovation, what did you have in mind? something like nokias of old? the n-gage and those circular phones must have really tickled your fancy and made you have a little fizz QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Sep 5 2013, 09:16 AM) Not really bro . QUOTE(MsiaqweR @ Sep 5 2013, 09:36 AM) Dont get fool by the battery size if that's your only concern . Bigger battery doesnt mean it's better . My OGP doesn't last as long as my Note2 and its 3140mah . By right , it should last as good as a Note2 judging from the battery size + screen size unless FHD takes up so much juice . Another comparison , SGS3 with 3000mah extended battery from Samsung SOT is just above half of Note2 SOT for the same usage . 100mah of battery size should compensate of the 0.7" of screen size difference yet it doesn't . Wait for the actual unit to be tested , i never trust manufacturer claims for battery life since like most product , they always do anything to optimize it to the max . |

Congrats and kudos again for Samsung to make the phone totally of plastic again. Superb material and god knows my how many years old S2 still look like the day i took it out of the box cos its plastic. Also its damn light so i can use it continuously while holding it without tiring my arms.
