my quick few cents...

* samsung bashing. it only means that Samsung has 'arrived'. its onyl when you're BIG that you get the attention. would anyone be bothered if i said the new Proton Saga came with say... built-in android TV? no one cares much about Proton. so, Samsung bashing... it only means Samsung is BIG.

* thin bezel & the 'leather back' ... now i wonder how practical will those phone cases be... its gonna be hard to design a 'well rounded' protection for Note 3 with these two new 'features'.

* 4k recording... sadly... i find it useless. at least now for the next 2-3 years. how many own a 4k TV? and can your 4k recording be displayed in its full 4k glory on the phone's screen? yes, this is very much like last year's (and the year b4) Note 2 where it could record 1080p video, but screen only 720p. but at least 1080p TV is more accessible. but 4k TV...?!?

Note 2 still serve me well and i don't even think its at it EOL n now note 3 came out. Phone techs is really moving fast.

with the advent of this crazy proc running on such a small platform, i think it can easily do hdmi out and use a proper monitor to get real multi app usage useful on a larger scale

2 be fair , making a neutral statement , unless the user dont use a case over it , the feeling of premium is kinda wasted . Worst case is buying a phone with a premium feel and use a pasar malam case for it .

S-Pen is still the best note taking feature available . What other phones u can think of can offer the same feeling and convenience ? XZU ? Bah , u will throw away the phone before u finish replying me if u plan not to use the keyboard .

Better camera , yes . But then , Note2 is not about the camera , its about their note taking features . The names said it all . 13mpx is already consider very good for it . IF camera is your concern , there's always the Galaxy S4 Zoom which stress on the camera .
Dual speaker ? Yes , I agree . Samsung should improved on their speaker and maybe add in dual speaker but then again , how often do u see a person blasting away their movies , songs via speaker without getting a stare from the people around ? Having a good audio chip , IMO is a better choice then dual speakers
Curve glass , aluminium finish ? Sorry , wrong manufacturer . Samsung has always been about plastic and different kind of plastic . Sure , it doesn't give a premium feel , there's other devices for it if premium feel is a concern . Yet the sales figure speaks for itself . How many android based phone manage to beat sales figure of Samsung series ? Maybe when they lost the lead , premium feel being the concern of consumers , only then will Samsung do something about it . Till then , it's a simple decision , hate it and buy something else or love it and buy it

Ah , sorry . I was " targeting " a few here i know r using premium feel phone but said no budget and get ciplak case + sp . yet , every now then then , come into thread and make a fuzz of how bad that phone's feel is , not premium enough . Sorry again ya , wasnt meant for u that statement
