Morning all sifus,

My kia forte 1.6 rear mirror view is blur after tinted. Before it tinted, the view is also blur but after tinted worser especially during night time. The view of front light of others car light will scatter a bit when looking at the back. Is it normal or is it due to my tint film? FYI, my tint is not security film, it's just normal solar tint. Thanks.

if you not see from rear mirror, see from the driver seat, still similar like see from rear mirror?

i'm using Llumar, faced the same thing, if see from rear mirror, looks very blur at nite.

but see from driver seat...its normal view.

Hi there...

Really interested to know about this stiff ring.. said to Maximize Chassis Stability of our beloved Forte.. Have any of you installed this stiff ring? care to share your experience?

This stiff ring is installed on the lingkage between main frame and front sub frame. These frames are on top of each other, going through holes at the same axis. Total of 4 pcs for Forte, only at the front.

If you see them take out these 4 bolts, you will actually see that there is a gap between the hole and the bolt. It is not a good fit. Why this happened? It is bacause during manufacturing, they want to install fast. Installing this might need 30 minutes or more for 4 pcs. Over the time, these bolts will loose hence you hear all sorts of sound.

So what is the effect? Like bro boxter said, there is no effect, most probably because he is not sensitive enough on his hands, butt, backbone. Or the effect is not significant to him as his car is new during installation when the nuts are still intact?

The first thing I feel is that the steering is much more stable. Vibration is lesser than the already less at high speed, uneven roads, pot holes and small rock bumps.

Second would be the handling. The car turns at a sharper rate, more towards your command.

The third is the one I love the most. The sound when it goes through uneven road. The sound of emptiness or tin milo sound is reduced by alot, though I cannot say it is on par with conti cars. With the price paid, I don't feel like my car is falling apart on uneven roads. Whole thing is more solid now.

My verdict? I will install another 4 if they have anything for the rear. However, for Forte, they only have front 4.

What to do with the back? Put rear lower arm bar. Gives the same effect as number 3. Also better rear stability during high speed lane changing.

Pair this 2 sama URB. Gooding. But one set of adjustable is too expensive. And it is not transferable to another car even if it is durable enough.

This is the thing. By the time I change car, it would be after 7 years. By that time, who will still want it? Who can still use it? Cerato is already using a different base.

Yeap when i installed my recently, the guy told me it was too tight...no flexibility not good.

For now, What i feel from installing it, less vibration when i go pass holes, humps, steering much more steady.

You have to be really aware of ur car to notice the difference.

Yours were installed in SMM? Since the ring is making the frames more solid and does not affecting the car flex, so I do not see a problem. The holes get filled is giving me the effect that I want.

Yeap SMM. When they tried to open one of the nut it was too tight, he said not good. He used torque wrench to fix the stiff ring so i assume it should be at about the right level of force used to tight it back after installation.

But its a small budget stuff you cant expect so much difference, but so far im happy with it. If need major difference you need to spend more money, with it comes better quality but for the right product.

Oh, I thought you say that the effect after adding stiff ring is too tight. Mine was at the right level when they took it out. Also using torque wrench to tighten it back. Now after service in SC, I will go there to do health check for the car, tighten the bolts under the car, tighten the bars, etc.

smile.gif How often you do health check? Planning to add UR Bars soon...

Front 2 point is good enough rite? Plus Rear ARB.

Health check after every service in SC.

I did front 2 points tower bar, rear ARB and last week I did rear lower arm bar. The effect is good too. Like it when the car changes lane at high speed and also when you go through uneven road. Car feels further more solid.

If Forte has front ARB in the market, I would have installed it too. The front now seems to have understeer at round abouts, but I can live with that.

Drain pipe choked is due to the negligence of AC service? AC also needs periodical service and cleaning.

I was in SC today. A guy cant set his temperature. Always at 23 degC. He will go back for checking on Monday. Maybe the same source as you?

FYI, I just did major service last 2 weeks at the sc for mileage at 80k++. I went to another workshop. They said the resistor and blower ok, but maybe the wiring got a problem. There's 2 wires that connect to the blower, 1 is current and another 1 is earth. But when they check, both are currents. They dont know why it happened.
