By the way, for my first 1000km or 1 month service, is it ok if it is being done abit later?

For example, over 1k km or 1.5 months?
*
I service my car at 1500km for the first time, timing wise is 2 weeks after getting the car.

anyone on 2.0 can clarify?
*
Mine dont have. The only time I saw it on is when I almost skid for the first time, and when you turn off the EPS. But when you turn off the EPS, it will show EPS off.

EPS can be turned ON and OFF for FORTE 2.0 meh? huh.gif
I thought that's only for TCS aka ESC aka VSC aka Traction/Stability Control Systems?

EPS = Electronic Power Steering, right?
*
I think he jumbled up, I jumbled up. Yes. ESC can be turned off. EPS cannot turn off.

finally got new shoes for my 2 1/2 year old forte..MC5 @ 350 per piece at Weng Tat Tyre Subang. Also had to fix my long-standing left pull problem...RM 65 per chamber (2 of them -1.x)..now it doesn't makan left like before..have to do more testing during the week.

MC5 really quiet compared to my previous KH17 (awfully noisy).
*
The quietness is awesome isn't it. Try out the tyre compound on road sections which normally gives you the vibration, the glong noise last time with stock tyre. I can never believe why the Atlantics V7 is so hard that it always makes me think that the car is going to fall apart very soon when I go through a certain section of roads. With the new tyre, no more hurtfull butt.

if by glong noise you mean those with the yellow stripes then yeah, its a lot less vibration and noise, so much better..finally decided to change due to one of my tyres hit a screw (no idea how it got there on the damn tyre!) and one of my tyres already going bald...

trade in 2 of my old KH17 at 50 each..did roughly 40k with them..consider ok i guess..
*
The yellow line is "fffglung". Much more softer. The 'glung' I mean is when you go through the submerged metal gaps on fly overs, the 'god knows why malaysia make such road' road elavation (one low one higher) on the right side of highway. These 'glung's make your car vibrate and feels like there is something fell apart, you need to pull over and pick it up.

ah those..i didn't really observe those yet even though i went through a flyover today on the way back..will probably observe it within the week. but so far really satisfied with the tyres, definitely worth the money smile.gif
*
Try those. I purposely go langgar those unevenness to see how much these tyres have improved. Else how do I know if those expensive tyres are worth my money.

Bro, you're the only 2nd person I've come to know in my lifetime so far, whom will purposefully go hit uneven roads. Pls take care of your lower arms/bushes/link rods/etc.
*
Oh no no no. I still avoid potholes like pleague, try to take smooth paid highway instead of small uneven roads.

I purposely go hit those crucial must pass through holes (metal thing missing in the entire width stretch of fly over road joint - cannot avoid), pain in the butt uneven-ness (elavation on entire stretch of road width - cannot avoid) , unavoidable sunken metal gaps to test if the tyre is real good. It is unavoidable in those sections. What I meant by purposely is to drive to those sections and try it out straight after getting the tyres.

Another note on alignment:
Expensive charges with Adjustable camber bolts doesn't guarantee a perfectly aligned vehicle.
The experience of the Technician along with the machine plays are more direct influence over it.

Also, for most ppl feeling that the Forte having a 'slight'* pull towards the left, do pls remember that most of the roads are engineered with a left-rolling camber (to allow for water to run towards the road shoulders and drain), hence the tendency to pull your vehicle to the left.

Most experienced Alignment Sifus will compensate the above by aligning the wheels ever so slightly towards the right. Check with them and you will be told by the honest ones smile.gif

--edited section--
* - I used the word 'slight' here to denote a really slight misalignment/true setting. Pls don't take my words literally, for the feel of each individual differs from one to the other.
So, what is 'slight' to me could be major to some smile.gif
*
Adjustable camber bolt is actually a bolt with a moveable collar in the middle right? I have been shown a camber with exact fit. The shape looks like the adjustable camber bolt, but the whole thing is one piece, solid, if you get what I mean.

I was in Teoh Brothers to change tyre, so they include allignment work too. So they adjusted ngam ngam centre. Straight. Due to some doubts on other section, I went to Lim Tayar in Shah Alam the next. They check and say allignment off by bit. So they adjust again. When I got back my car it is already very very slight to the left (???) as in if u put your steering very very straight, it will go right.

how u guys scratch ur rims? mine cos i too sayang car i wanna park close to curb/side as possible. then kena alrdy. lol.
*
Haha. This I always do, but I am extra careful. In malls, I will park as close as possible to walls or pillars. If low curbs I will take my sweet time to adjust the side mirror so that I can see the curb. Cannot really rely on the rear view camera. Protective parking. I only park in middle slot IF I do not have choice.

Defensive parking style. I have to say that i did the same also  tongue.gif  That's why i got almost no tiny dent on both side of my car until now
*
It is a painful affair. You need to look for slots with:-

1) Nicer/ more expensive cars on both sides
2) Cars that look like they are not carrying kids
3) Cars that look like thay have owners who love them
4) Cars with sun shade and wipers up in the morning to minimise the ratio of the car beside you leave the spot before you
5) Cars that parked straight in their spot
6) Driver's door is at the opposite side of your car
7) No trees near your slot

I am not a very happy man when it comes to parking.

Front two point Strut Bar/Tower Bar
yeah good and improve on handling.  smile.gif
Ultra Racing Price Range from RM160-RM220 for FRONT STRUT BAR.
*
160? Got so cheap ah? If any one found this price better buy alr. But the rear ARB is the killer. Double or more the price of tower bar. Now I am also thinking if I want to add front and rear lower strut bar.

arb for selling now...

I have yet to read on adjustable, so I do not really know how it works.

By adjustable they mean that the setting can only be changed by tuning the suspension. It is not like what the K9 is having, adjustable from within the cabin, Full Load Mode, Sport Mode, Normal Mode right?

manually...diy pusing until u satisfied. use hand with tools la.  laugh.gif

So the 3k is giving you the luxury to find the right tuning for you. Once fixed, no need to adjust anymore.

Then why not search for one set of non adjustable which suits you?

Isn't it troublesome if we need to switch to the front cam av channel every time we need it?
*
I can live with front cam appear on HU with rear cam appear on rear view camera.

Wanting cameras on all 4 sides is a little greedy I think. Unless there is one system which works like Alphard.
