If newbie, which plan to get to have SLL option available?
DiGi Live sim pack or DiGi Best sim pack?
How much to purchase the SLL option?

when there is free data when active, there won't be a long validity option. both best and live now come with free something for life. social for best, multimedia for live.

you could still achieve 365 day validity using the 1-day sll every 2 days. more effort on your part and total annual costs is rm121.

digi has hiked the price for 365 day validity from rm38 to rm68 before, so they could reintroduce 365 validity with a higher price tag, say rm108. are we willing to pay?

I've a feeling this is going to happen.

So many plans d for these few years.. Digi keep introducing new package and keep changing the TnC

When I purchase digi best prepaid 2016, it has SLL but it has been terminated now. They can simply remove it. If I had known then I would never change to digi.

DiGi Prepaid Best no longer has Super Long Life.
DiGi now charge RM1 to add 1 day validity.

Asking how to upgrade
from
DiGi New Best v1 P2P
to
DiGi Best Prepaid v2
or
DiGi New Best v1 ?

I think this can be done using the *128# menu.. last time I changed to Smart Prepaid is through there.

2. Digi New Best v1 P2P = Digi New Best v1 (without P2P)

3. All upgrades right now will become Digi Best Prepaid 2016 .... do not upgrade until you have confirmed your actual plan.

2. Virtually non-existent documentation on this

Basically, check that table that Digi had put up (and updated so far) about the SLL eligibility. The list of versions are those they've come up with the past couple of years.

If you're already on the latest version (Digi Best Prepaid 2016?), then it'll be a DOWNgrade if you want any of the earlier versions (just to do SLL), and that is not allowed AFAIK. Downgrading of versions is not allowed by Digi.

If you ask, will this latest version ever have SLL, then I'll say "maybe". If they restore SLL with a RM108 price, you still want?

Come to think of it... I wonder if this is Digi's "excuse" to raise the price of SLL if there's still a demand for validity extension...
