what does this chrome cast do

not all app, i think only local media. if it is how i think it will work, you just need a simple web server (podcast, etc) running on your phone and direct Chromecast to stream from your phone. so, in theory, it should only work with media related app. so, game and all prolly will not work, unless the game uses Media API to display it's graphic, which typically limited to cut scene.

i was hoping to get a Chromecast too, but it's sold out!

Hey, i have some confusion here on changing custom ROM. anybody can help?


Currently I'm using Paranoid Android 3.94. 3.4.0 franco kernel.
I want to change into pacman rom.

1. Will my data such as photos, musics will be wiped out after flashing new rom?
2. should i do something with the kernel first before flashing pacman rom? if yes, what is it?

Sent mine to a repair shop only as I couldnt find the LG service center. Will compare price once they give me the quotation tomorrow

1. You need to wipe data (factory reset) in CWM before flashing pacman ROM. But wiping the data in CWM will NOT wipe your internal /sdcard directory, so all your photos, musics etc will be intact, but apps will be gone. You can use titanium backup to backup them.

2. no need, usually flashing a ROM will flash the kernel that comes with it as well. Just make sure that after you flash Pacman ROM, only use suitable kernel (JWR or JSS depends on pacman ROM is which one)

guys im curious what is the max speed of 3g?
cause my office at kapar i'm getting 14-15mb download which is damn strange... ( not just once and 1 day... been testing almost everyday now )

and my nexus not yet unlock 4G radio... (i just did it now and will test again 2morow )
i was wondering was that 4g?

cause i check digi website 4g coverage is very small only...
and kampung area like kapar wont come out 4g so fast...

so far 3-4 repair shops i went all of them quote me around 750-820..
lastly just go to LG kelana jaya. fast and cheaper.

You get 14-15MB download with digi? That's very good already. I get 4MB max with my digi. Theoretical max speed for Nexus 4 is 42.2Mbps on HSPA+

When you buy Nexus 4, you didn't know that Nexus 4 has no LTE? I mean... Yes, it has LTE if you stay in places like... Canada but not here in Malaysia. Malaysia bands (1800/2600) are both not supported by the Nexus 4. If you get 4G on your Nexus 4, it would be miracle or someone illegally setup one at that band
