if u want a jss rom then just flash jss rom like rasbeanjelly or pa android. dont need to flash stock.

but if u coming from 4.2.2 you must flash radio and the bootloader.

if yes then xiaomi will score higher because it is on 4.3" screen with newer process which is snapdragon 600 if im not wrong.
