Actually not complicated skill, the mouse is very easy to dismantled by removing the 4 screw under the mouse feet, then just rub away the top sticky layer by using sand paper, actually i'm using Dremel rotary tool, after that using fine grade sand paper (i'm using grade 800>1200>2000) to sand it to smooth surface, and then paint spray. The side grip actually stick to the bottom cover, need to use tool (i'm using screw driver) to remove it.

is it sticky until you guys want to get rid of it hahaha

Make sure all the connections u made are secured.
If still the same problem better bring it back for warranty claim.

yo bro, M800 user here, no issue what so ever except the lighting, i had to RMA mine before the warranty expires, So overall i would give it a Solid 7.5/10 due to design and also software flawed, i expect higher quality on the product if i paid so much for. But if you ever consider other brands try check out Corsair M95 platinum, that one has my eye on it for awhile now.

Alright bro. Another question. Does it feel solid and sturdy? In other words does it feel cheap? Thanks bro.

the design looks cheap, but it does its job well, i mean for the price u paying for it its somewhat not worth for me, but if u are same steelseries fan like me then it should be no problem, but like i said u should have a look at the Corsair 95 platinum, it looks more cooler than M800,

Rating
Build quality design: 6.5/10
Function on daily use: 10/10
Gaming (FPS,moba,etc...): 10/10
software: 6.5/10 too simple, i would love to have the corsair engine rather than steelseries but its really user friendly tho, too user friendly for me
Bang for Buck: 5/10

Anyone has led problem with Apex M800?

Mine starting to act weird, some leds missing one of the RGB colors.

cannot illuminate white if one of the RGB colors failed.

cannot RMA, just after warranty, 1 year and a month

=_="

Edit: kinda disappointed .... it only lasted a year.... never spilled anything on it ...sigh

mine is the side rubber wears off, but overall its a great product dont get me wrong, been using Steelseries after my switch from Razer, but now i am leaning towards Corsair. Due to its price compared to both Razer and Steelseries
