rival is rubber side, it is injected into the side so tat it does not peel off
but, the rubber can still degrade and become wear off.
good mouse, bad design and material

Yup, my Rival also staring degrade at the both sides after few months usage sweat.gif

usually sending it back to the reseller would be fine
but if you want the distributor would take it also

I didn't ask further bcos one of the requirement is to send back the mouse to Denmark & i have to bear the amount which i believe the shipping charge is not cheap (might more expensive than the mouse value), hence i didn't proceed.

The side grip on the Rivals area joke, Mine now scrubbed off after 6 months.

Totally agreed, mine also have this problem too bad warranty was over, at the end i remove the side grip & sticky layer of the top, spray it with white paint (steelseries logo gone sad.gif ) & change the side grip rubber.

Actually not complicated skill, the mouse is very easy to dismantled by removing the 4 screw under the mouse feet, then just rub away the top sticky layer by using sand paper, actually i'm using Dremel rotary tool, after that using fine grade sand paper (i'm using grade 800>1200>2000) to sand it to smooth surface, and then paint spray. The side grip actually stick to the bottom cover, need to use tool (i'm using screw driver) to remove it.

bro got any sample of the rubber you bought? Where and how much did it cost?
*
I bought the rubber mat from taobao long time ago, actually it suppose to use for sound insulation for casing, roughly about 3mm thick. I check back the link but no more again sad.gif. I have an idea maybe can consider those cheapo rubber mouse pad hmm.gif
