I am having a hard time deciding between Steelseries Siberia V2, V3 and Prism, as most said the difference between the V2 and the V3 is not huge. There's a Ramadhan promotion for the V3 Prism too, which makes it's price even lower and same with the V2, but because it is using USB connector so I am having some doubts. Also, my laptop only has a combo jack and I think V3 suits it the best since it also has only a 3.5mm jack and not the usual dual headset and mic jack. I need some suggestions here. Please do help me decide this !

Hellkeeper, do u know Dota 2 rival on Malaysia arket is first batch or second batch with fixed rubber? I've ask some local retailer but sasly they got no ideal...

what u mean fixed rubber ? somethings wrong with the Steelseries Rival Dota 2 Edition ?

Yes there's big deflect on old batch of rival's side rubber materials and it's pretty common issue on this mouse, 3 montgs ago S's release a new batch of rival with fixed rubber by changing the formula of rubber so it will not dissolve over time.

owh ok , i just hope mine is the newer batch =D nice deal though for RM 199 mouse + pad

V3 has better overall built quality
I recommend u get the usb if you don't plan to use it on your mobile phone

Do they mention what batch number are the fixed version?

So if i bought the Rival mouse previously which having side rubber dissolve issue will SS honor the warranty to fix it?

they will as long as it is under warranty period

i'm not so sure, they says that fnatic/white version is the batch with fixed rubber, but some of the dota 2 version (older batch) still using old rubber which will definitely deteriorate within a year

my dota 2 rival side rubbers feels like the basketball ball`s rubber rofl

usually sending it back to the reseller would be fine
but if you want the distributor would take it also

I just check the invoice i think was too late, i bought the mouse last year June, the warranty just over if not mistaken only 1 year

Update: I have create an RMA ticket in Steelseries website, basically SS CS has approved my RMA but i need to send back the mouse to thier HQ in Denmark

I didn't ask further bcos one of the requirement is to send back the mouse to Denmark & i have to bear the amount which i believe the shipping charge is not cheap (might more expensive than the mouse value), hence i didn't proceed.

planning to get a headset...researched online regarding of siberia V3...but quite a number of people say v2 is better..hmmm
