hmm, I never needed to disable igmp for my previous router (dlink from unifi, orange white) one and my current ASUS. Maybe your issue was something else?

I'm a first time user chromecast user.

my chromecast was working fine until one day, it got stuck, pinkish LED colour. tried to reset it, but to no avail. any pointers on how to resolve this issue.

anything that you can't cast from apps, you can use cast screen (mirror your phone). As long your phone is always on charging that's fine. I always download movie from my phone then cast it.
Even sometimes i play & cast movie from NAS drive through ES Explorer I found that ES Explorer Cast plugin not so reliable for me. (tested on Nexus 5 & Xperia Z3 Compact) This post has been edited by maks_pain: Nov 16 2015, 11:36 AM |
