Guys, can I have astro Multiroom connected to different satellite dish?

Reason is I want to have another astro in my room but I don't want to pull the cable all the way to my othe decoder which is on the other end of the house.

If I could, I can just buy another dish and put it just outside my room window.

yes. and installers are provided with a dish for multiroom install. please ask for it, otherwise you have to fork out money

English /Hindi News channel from India or something else? ? At astro ,all in a standstill mode,in hot soup cos of contracts with Israel,besides that no news of any new channels .

It's an Japanese anime channel already carried on mio TV. Noticed whenever mio carries a particular channel, StarHub will try to carry the same to diminish competition.

Well, the idea is just to update us on the latest additions on the singapore cable networks,and both Miotv and Starhub hv also have included some astro In House channels in their line up.It also serves as something to look forward here too as some channels are launched for both countries simaltanouesly or in the near future.

To let all of us envy something that we will never get.

It's just for info and be updated on channel format which Astro offers differently. Eg, E! Is in 16:9 full screen SD. I believe Astro downscale to 4:3 letterbox. You will be aware that Astro is not telling you the truth if they claim the source has given them the letter box feed. The Pixs are for sharing, proof n info purposes.

Something like that is impossible in Bolehland, due to Astro monopoly and lacks of "cross-carriage" between Astro, HyppTV & ABN.

well consider astro using satellite that almost up to their capacity, its no wonder they trying to enter market with iptv. i don't think astro will buried anytime soon as result of the recent "event". just my 2 cent only...

Well, there is cross-carriage, but only some channels. For example, Australia Network. Also, iirc both ABN and HyppTV has BabyFirst, Nick Jr and Discovery Kids. And from what I understand both DETV and HyppTV has BBC channels. But assteruk has an unfair advantage that they can tell MCMC to block other providers from carrying channels they already have.

PS: MNC international is on HyppTV.

Astro will rule this country unless BN is thrown out and which seems impossible! Their satelites are not intended for local use they lease transponders to others for millions but give customers distorted and compressed Rojak channels!

the current gov also can revoke the contract with astro that they the only satellite provider direct to home
but given to the situation where astro has the exclusive right to all best and exclusive games channel provider, it still stand strong.
look what HYPP TV and ABNXCESS at recent world cup match. even rtm 1 & 2 has to be block because not have exclusive right.
well i dont blaming astro fully cause they did invest a lot and they are ready to share content with hypp tv but, of course with a price la..
But, hypp tv is to "stingy" to invest and want to "tumpang" RTM feed.
