Still contemplating whether should I jump to U-Mobile from Celcom. Celcom 3G has been acting wonky for the past years and I think I've had enough. I want to change but don't know which is less horrible. U-Mobile looks like a good option but I am not convinced.

Help, anyone? icon_question.gif

If you wanted a good coverage, then Celcom would provide you with a better coverage.
However, U Mobile's 3g is pretty good with a pretty nice price as well but the coverage and speed varies from location to location.

The factors that can be considered whilst changing to another provider is a lot so think carefully laugh.gif

Last but not least, please refer to any of your friends who are in your area and ask them of the coverage and speed before actually buying to prevent yourself from regretting afterwards thumbup.gif

Or just buy prepaid sim and test out at your normal spots. It lasts 30 days with RM5 credit inside (cost RM8). Do speedtest at home, at work/school, etc. etc.

I did that for 2 weeks. Because not using it (just speedtesting and then browse to some websites to test the 'feel') it lasted me more than 2 weeks. RM5 credit is 100 MB on pay-per-use.

Same applies to any operator. What for ask ask when you can test?

Yeah, you read me well. I rely heavily on the coverage whenever I travel. To make things worse, I rely heavily on the Internet connection too for my emails and stuffs. rclxub.gif

I am doing that but now only DiGi been tested. Seems far more responsive than Celcom 3G. Will get U-Mobile prepaid sim and give it a spin first. Haish, what a tough life decision lah. sweat.gif

Probably that its location wise but DiGi's internet plan hasn't been working quite well for me while U Mobile's Internet plan works wonder for me.

worse come to worst, you can always have a dual setup though(celcom + umobile), so you get the coverage + the internet speed icon_rolleyes.gif

And, it is just a 8 ringgit decision though, not too tough la laugh.gif

Yeah, you can get points by reloading smile.gif 1 point = 1 sen (100 points = RM1)
http://www.u.com.my/ucard/overview

With enough points, you can redeem something by using the points smile.gif

However, I haven't been able to register with my Chatime BCard, so I have not tried this yet as of now. I guess today's a good day to "kacau" the support team laugh.gif

yeah. that's business alright brows.gif brows.gif laugh.gif

btw, I've noticed a misleading information whereby the picture shows that its 1-2 point(depending on your number of year(s) of subscription) per RM 1 reload while the text below shows that 1 cent = 1 point so RM 1 = 100 points instead of 1 point.

Not sure if it fits your usecase, but at rm5 per month(umobile -> umobile) or rm8 per month(umobile -> other operators), you can get either 100 minutes for the former and 80 minutes for the latter smile.gif

You can consider U28 postpaid plan.
It come with 1GB data, 300 free sms.
If you are living at Klang valley, speed sure fast and stable.
Most important thing is, no contract apply on this postpaid plan.
