lol not actually related to my case. I mentioned my retail version cannot run bcoz Steam version is installed. so if I want to play non-steam version, I have to uninstall the steam version and download the non-steam version using uplay.

reason for this experiment bcoz Ubisoft cannot give a firm answer when I asked them about this. so better do it on my own.

when the game released, there are 2 versions, normal version (which I have) and Black edition. the pissing off part is the Black Edition has 3 additional Templar ruins that is COUNTED TOWARDS GAME COMPLETION STATUS. so if you only have the normal edition, you can only get max 97% completion status. for a completionist, this is a big issue. i've got 100% on brotherhood and revelation, but this one cannot bcoz of the extra ruins.

now that I've upgraded my ACII account to Deluxe edition, the 3 templar ruins is now unlocked.

Ooo faham. I never gotten 100% on any assassins creed besides the first due to stupid DLCs.

Because I played mine on PS3, and console generally don't get good discount so screw the DLCs.

Still, XCOM:EU is a game that i had enjoyed a lot, so i actually dont mind paying more for it.

I think games nowadays price drop very fast. as attractive as it may seems, it is quite scary to preorder at the same time

it will reach 7.49 eventually on steam store & $4.99 outside steam store = take CIV 5 for example.

kof91 quite scary, agree + 1, but the worst part is not the pre-order. The worst part is u are the early buyers who pay the full price to support the developer, then the developer decide to screw u over by NOT offering any special discount on DLCs that they release after u pre-order the game, While at the same time they offer a complete pack that is better deal to new buyer.

with this I stop pre-order games and just wait complete pack release.

Yeah. One reason I switch to PC Gaming primarily and PS3 is a secondary gaming for PS exclusives.

PC games price drop very fast and always got great deals and bundles.....PS3 market is still expensive even for Pre-owned games.
