Please note that, pledging for kickstarter is not pre-ordering/investing for a game as you have pretty much no rights once you pay up after the campaign ends. Only pledge with your disposable income that you dont mind not getting anything in return.

There are quite a few of my kickstarter projects going dark recently, so if you dislike this sort of thing, dont pledge for a kickstarter.

It is mentioned/answered in the FAQs section also – both digital copies for any tiers from Adventure for Two and onwards will receive all appropriate digital items (e.g. mounts etc); yes, both accounts will get the digital items.

Haha, no worries – I think you ain’t the type to ditch a game for looks only.

I think everyone here knows the concept of Kickstarter but for those who don't; the game ain’t out till any time around end 2014 and there is always a chance of a project goes kaput and sink. No money will be returned and there are such cases already. Pledge if you have the money, you can always buy the game when it is out – and in some cases, the final game might not even worth the long term investment.

However I truly regret not realizing that Virtuix Omni was on KS – I really wanna walk/play in TF2 or Skyrim with it and Occulus. Pre-ordering is available now but I just gonna wait till Occulus Rift is out first as well.

I really doubt that everyone knows as a lot of people still dont know what kickstarter actually is. Calling it investing or crowdfunding is just wrong because majority of kickstarter dont not offer returns like typical forms of investing. Then, pre-ordering is not right too, as you are literally buying air or something as the game doesnt even exist yet. On top of that, in most projects, backers are really excited to contribute from QA to actual game production which some projects "abuse" the backer's enthusiasm that I think it helped the project. To be frank, I am damn happy to see Sir You are Being Hunted next week, as it looks like STALKER in British setting and Planetary Annihilaiton after that because I am eager to contribute too, especially PA as this time, i'll make sure the performance is right.

In the end, I got no idea what to call this thing.

For me, i'll only buy the second gen of Occulus Rift as the first gen will not support people who wears glasses.

Also, be careful with Project Phoenix, yes, that JRPG game that was on the last page. Some people found out that the lead designer was only a QA Tester for LA Noire, not an actual designer but his other previous work could NDA so he cant reveal it. And there is no lead programmer yet too.

I'll hang on first as this might be a little bit more dodgy than other projects as there is no ingame footage. Considering that Nobuo Uematsu is working on this, I guess the other people on the team will not be a bunch of jokers who knows little as these AAA devs reputation are at stake too.

I am assuming it to be around $300 to $400 as thats how much the dev kits used to cost.

I think for long sighted people, you probably still can use it as the screen is literally in your face but I somehow prefer to have my glasses in it too.

what i normally do is, i bring my own 3d glasses, take out the lens and stick it on my spec, it works fine for me
but oculus will be a different story

I actually don't participate in much of the game devs or discussion at all, haha - wasting my KS rights but I barely have time to balance games + wife nowadays. Unless they plan to change Project Eternity to a FPS or such, I won't really jump in

I would call this as a "Shut up and take my money" scheme. Like/love the idea? Have the spare money? Have the patience? Fund it. Follow it. Pray for it. Anything else, wait till they finish and release the game. It won't hurt much (I hope).

For Phoenix, oh well, I hit most of the preconditions for this project so I gonna fund it. Only confirming if I got my kaki to tag for combo at $80 or just solo at $20. I have pirated enough to lose $20 Virtuix Omni looks so enticing too lol, but since I didn't backed it up - I just gonna wait till the glasses out first to play together with it.

Haha, I also dont expect to learn that much in terms of project management and game development from these KS projects.

Still, i know I paid quite a bit of money for KS projects but so far, no regrets as I am helping these guys in a tiny, almost insignificant way to build the games they want, and also the chance to play the games I want to play.

"Shut up and take my money" scheme does sounds suitable.

Project Phoenix, that one, I am not too sure at the moment, will hang back and see how it goes first, i guess. Definitely getting only the $20 tier. The soundtrack is amazing to be honest.
