much thanks to davidke20 for the pointers and of course the kapak. notworthy.gif

first time able to have a spot to be able to drive like that, and the flaw was VERY obvious. And since elite speedway is basically FULL of corners like that with the organizing committee wanting it to be a mix of gymkhana and time attack, i guess i'll be having a very hard time especially now i know what is the problem (or maybe i'll have it easier since i figured out what's wrong and could perhaps work around it to compensate)

i suppose why i never get to figure out what's wrong is probably cuz i never really tackle corners that hard before (open car park PLENTIFUL of space to buang your car lolz) or rather, i've never really had erratic throttle steers before not even on the previous elite speedways because the tires gave out before the suspensions could as opposed to something i'm using now that bites firmly to the ground as much as it could

with this experience, it really feels like i'm spoiling the Advan naming/reputation sweat.gif

TitanRev is a grade A lunatic, I would have stay far far away from that Mybi. God knows when they will turtle shakehead.gif Give it a chance, chase something more worthy. I didn't drive your car much today. I notice the intermittent missfiring became obvious. However, with proper wiring the throttle response seems improved alot. If you notice, the initial pedal action that tackle your sprint timing has been shorten much. I also noticed, after the recent changed had made the RPM overshoot more obvious, this has became a downside in my opinion. I did 2 x heel & toe from 3rd gear down shift to 2nd then 1st without problem. Now, the problem happens after I release the gas pedal on 1st gear and shake the steering to the right 3/4 turn, the gas pedal seems sticky and RPM didn't drop. When the car started to turn into action, I slam on the gas pedal wanted to produce sprint but delayed. I imagine if it's a tight hairpin, I would have jump into longkang already cause I'm expecting understeer by wheelspin but it didn't happen doh.gif This part I have not figured out, but overall I'm satisfied with the car apart from the release throttle delay.

kennywee92 good luck if you able to claim the clutch pump. It does sounded like the inside rubber wore off. Who knows, if change of brake fluid may help.

r3apers extrator quite loud as you leave.

mengsuan get 2 pairs of spring buffer for your back springs, and 1 pair for the front. Release air pressure for front to 180, whereas the back get it up to 230. I think that's the kind of feeling you're looking for, considering you're not a hard cornering guy like the above lunatics. Bear in mind, spring buffers are no magic, it helps to reduce spring compressible length, but it also became more unpredictable when pushing it off the limits. I'm advising u based on what you told me. Occasional spirited driving, this kinda setup is fun enough and does not jeopardize your daily ride comfortness, moreover spring buffer is plug & play at cheap price, whereas tyre pressure is free, you'll be able to adjust it and take off those buffer if this isn't what you want.

Quazacolt scares the crap out of my pee hole. It is seriously dangerous with that kinda setup. Initially before hitting the limit, it feels ok. The tyres were ok, but there isn't sufficient suspension action to make surface contact. Need to find a set of spring that can put your wheels on the floor before you can further increase your speed. Otherwise, give u slick tyre also no use. On the other hand, now I think back the "jumping" was not necessarily caused by your rear suspension. Have you check on your engine mounting lately? As you wheelspun, if engine mounting KO will also make that kinda jump which can put your car out of business. You probably didn't feel it on the steering wheel, but with a good traction tyre and short shocks at the back, minor front movement will result in rear unstability. Tomorrow had your sister rev on your gas pedal, you open the hood and witness the action see whether the engine shake too much. Good luck in finding the right setup, don't bother to do it now as the trackday is too near to do any major adjustment.

damn, now that you mentioned it... that could be the case also. because i think after the accident my front torque mounting was "patched back"
i totally never thought of it at all and just focused on the rear, lol tomorrow morning will definitely take a look on it.

but eh considering you did mentioned it, i actually felt something as i tapped the throttle, which is EXACTLY what you described right now where else when i drive normally even on track/genting downhill, i tend to not throttle steer at all because on for track i tend to threshold brake a lot and just slowly/smoothly accelerate as i exit corners while at genting i tend to do light braking and light throttle movements because the nature of down hill tend to accelerate my car by itself anyways.

definitely a damn good experience and eye opener just before this coming track day. get to spot on things where else by myself i probably wouldn't have ever know sweat.gif

for the bar, dah welded and holes drilled, seems a little waste to ditch it cry.gif
and i'm not sure if i can find buyer for the iswara FSB, as finding people to buy the apm performax is tough enough sweat.gif

anyways, hmm i still don't quite get the steering rack part ler... because mine looks EXACTLY like yours, also on top woh
btw for the perdana v6, is it considered plug and play? just do something about the steering rack right?

My mistake on the information provided(been missing my original disc brakes for a decade liao, so didn't remember much on stock setup). You're right, it's originally on top, by changing to VR4, will have to terbalik it because VR4 knuckle is different. Need to rebore the mounting then only can fit back original setup. So, technically, as LKC suggested, don't use VR4. Picture of the above mentioned are full VR4 migrated. RVR will be less hassle

thanks for the link on LKC's post. that one definitely is plug and play though will need to really dig up old parts. (that model, i was just a small boy barely after baby age LOL XD)

so far, steering feedback feels normal, though not as crisp as original saga knuckle at high speed cornering... i guess the best possible way is to reuse back saga knuckle, but with modifications to fit the enlarged disc rotor and calipers...

yet another dilemma lol.
well so far braking is ok la, just need to find a new stock EBC greenstuff probably directly imported from UK. cheaper anyways and i'll most probably get the noise reduction shims fitted too which would be nice

i can lock my wheels now anyways with the current brake pads/rotors (im on x drilled/slotted too hehe) so really have to discipline on the braking part and self applied ABS (aku brake sendiri brows.gif )
