Yo guys! I just came back from a test drive with Saga FLX Executive, and it feels kinda heavy when I try to accelerates.
The sales person say its because he haven't pump the tyre properly. Just wanna check with you guys does Saga really feels this heavy when accelerating?
I'm buying a Saga, just wanna make sure is this how it's supposed to feel. To be more specific, it's like I step on the accelerator and it takes about 5 seconds only the car can move, like I need to throttle it first.
I compare with my friend's Viva and Viva accelerate instantly like flying (most likely cuz it's very light weighted).
Also, today I checked with Proton ppl and they say Saga no more Standard production (replaced with SV). So can only buy either SV, Executive, or 1.5 SE.
Is this real or they just want to meet their quota? Cuz my main target is Saga Standard but dowan SV cuz need to wait very long.
Your opinions are much appreciated, thanks!
The "heaviness" you felt is the infamous drive-by-wire delay, as in, the car takes a while to react to your pedal input. If you are driving the CVT then it feels even more sluggish. There are inexpensive aftermarket mods to reduce the the delay (as well as expensive ones too), though.
On the other hand, Myvi and Viva throttle response is very sensitive. There are pros and cons to each, but I'm too lazy to elaborate now
I'm not sure if the standard is no longer in production. Considering your SA already kelentong you once (no power becoz he didnt pump tyre

), I'd find another SA / dealership and ask again
