Currently looking at Supercircuit exhaust system. R3 too expensive la bro. A bit like iPhone; same spec with other brands but more expensive because of the logo.

ECU might be the last one to be upgraded. After exhaust, probably will be air filter, suspension, tyres, etc.

I think you'd own your neo for quite some time right bro? What mod have u done to your car, if u don't mind telling again  thumbup.gif
*
Oic hehe..good mod planning thumbup.gif

Mine still keep my neo stock.
Only change rim from 16 inch to 15 inch.

Next mod shud be exterior mod.
Since I fancy exterior looks laugh.gif

Actually, there is more expensive exhaust system than R3 brows.gif but if you wanna change exhaust system, make sure you know what you are doing else better stick to stock~

Air filter upgrade not much gain on performance, it is just placebo effect~

Suspension upgrade is OK but mind you that stock suspension is already not on the comfort side, make sure you know what you want~ you want more performance, have to sacrifice comfort~ you never know how tiring it is travelling from KL to Terengganu in a fully spirited driving with adjustable suspension~

Tyres upgrade is highly recommended, minimum is Toyo T1R but Michelin PS3 is the best all rounder~ the best dry tires for me now is Yokohama AD08R, it sticks like a lizard!

The only exterior 'mod' i'd done to the car is tint the headlights and change the plate num. LOL. Don't know what else i can do since the R3 bodykit package is already good looking.

Will try to look around in this thread bro. Not just SC la, other brands/shops also OK if the quality and price tally nod.gif

I know bro. The price gap are actually so far away for some brands/shops. I don't mind changing the exhaust system at some 'uncle' shop. As long the quality is good.

I was actually looking for the R3 carbon fibre air box. But proton told me that they'd stopped production on that already. 2nd hand prices are also ridiculous. So might be going for K&N

Suspension is not in the near future. Might be end of the year bonus project hehe wink.gif Currently interested in FTuned because some of my friends are already on that and the reviews are quite good.

Tyre is a bit tricky. Not a lot of brands are selling 195/50 R16 like the stock Conti MC5. Might have to change the size, and do it at the same time im changing the suspension.

so total is RM2460 for full set.

while R3 full set when having 35% discount,

it only RM1600+, excluding installation,

if full set installation is RM150,

you do the calculation loh. rolleyes.gif

if I remember correctly,

the R3 full set without discount is RM2470.

this is the last month promotion leaflet:

Yeah was talking about before discount. Like i said, most brands are expensive because of the brand itself. Supercircuit included. Some 'uncle' shop selling for almost half price and quality might be the same. The reason im more inclined towards supercircuits than R3 is because their products are dyno proven and i personally have friends that is using their system and is absolutely loving the added power. heck, i might even go for supercircuit extractor and R3 catback exhaust. Price is subjective when it is for performance parts, right bro? The only thing holding me back is i'm looking at mix and match the exhaust system to suit my personal specs. This is a daily driven car, not for weekend fun only

From my experience, better to find good 4-1 extractor than 4-2-1 for Neo~

that is my point, changing airbox doesn't have any performance increase but you can enjoy the looks~ but changing to K&N doesn't have any significant improvement, it is just placebo bro~ talking from my own experience~

why do you want to stick to 195 width? 205 is good enough, can consider 205/45/R16~ btw, I am using 205/50/R15 brows.gif

my car is standard only, auto summore~ slow car~ but if you ask me what should you mod first, I will say go for upgrading the brake hose to steel braided and change brake pad to Project U~ the improvement you get really worth the money~

Really bro 4-1? Most shops also tell me the same thing. Neo CPS, manual also. Better with 4-1. But im actually looking for better acceleration instead of higher top speed. And from my research through Mr. Google, 4-2-1 with s-flow piping is better suited for that.

Haha might be true regarding the air box. Damn the R3 CF airbox is nice. Some fella quoted me more than 1k for used item. Mental.

205/45/r16 is one im looking at. Might be getting the Michelin PS3 if that time still got money left. Yoko Advan too hardcore for me hehe

Ah i left the brakes in my list. I'll give that a look around after the exhaust is done. I'm currently on 100% city drive, max speed reached 120kmph (very rarely) with lots of traffic lights and potholes. Hence my target of acceleration. Comfort nvm because long distance (back to Kelantan during raya) is done with a super floaty Naza Ria tongue.gif

Since is a daily drive car,

I would suggest go for either full set instead of mix and match unless you got plenty of free time to test around.

the difference in acceleration between 4-1 and 4-2-1 is not much but u lost more top speed on 4-2-1~ 180km/h is not that fast either on car like this so u won't want to lose the top speed much~ whistling.gif

The R3 ECU management looks tempting..anybody know if its aftermarket tuned by R3 or siemens?

And I guess that ecu is used by the R3 RS models.
