If i go to any SC (authorized) would they be able to solve/replace the following misaligned items? Also, the stock air intake box seems to be rubbing against the hood which has cause some scratches towards it...sigh.
PS: Car is totally new and stock

Hi fellow neo owners, I would appreciate your advise regarding misaligned front bonnet and rear boot. Has anybody faced this issues before regarding the satria neo cps?

QUOTE(azrul24 @ Oct 24 2014, 04:06 AM) Sharing my fuel consumption. RM161 - 60L(i fuel up my car by liters). Long distance driving. 110kmh-130kmh ++. Maintaining my rpm below 4k. I can go up to 849km ++ still got fuel but lampu minyak menyala already and my fc 5.8L/100Km. For me im kind satisfied with my fuel consumption or mine teruk? Lol. How's your fuel cosumption? Nice fc you have there. Have you tried doing 100% city driving? Cause right now im facing 7.0L/100km or roughly 380km +- per full tank [attachmentid=4183696] Btw, is any members here facing issues with the front strut bar where it is rubbing against the intake snorkel or bonnet for cps engine? Is there any ways to rectify it? This post has been edited by peejayboy: Oct 24 2014, 09:20 AM |

QUOTE(Max @ Oct 24 2014, 01:29 PM) what brand strut bar do u use? Hey, im using the Ultra racing CPS model. Apparently the top of the bar is touching the bonnet while the thin part is slightly touching the intake snorkel.Ultra Racing or other brands? Ultra racing got 2 version, 1 for campro, the other 1 for CPS. i got UR CPS model, want to swap with UR Campro model. Guess Im just gonna remove it, fedup of the sound. |

QUOTE(Max @ Oct 24 2014, 03:11 PM) maybe urs abit bend. mine got a lot space between snorkel and bar. while the top only touch the hood 'fabric like' cover. and yes...the top that touches the hood fabric cover is creating the rubbing sound.. does yours produce any rubbing sound when it hits the hood fabric cover? |

QUOTE(Max @ Oct 25 2014, 11:43 PM) u can try step on the after removed.. make straight back.. Ahh I see. Cause I've seen a few neo cps have the scrubbing issues like mine. Probably is manufacturing tolerances that causes it. yes, got space between the bar and snorkel... didnt here any scrubbing sound. the bar just barely touch the hood cover. I plan to use the non cps intake snorkel and fit the older strut bar instead. |

QUOTE(angrysnail @ Oct 26 2014, 07:07 PM) Stock absorber but with R3 spring.Well ur right with wheel gap, stock spring will left a huge wheel gap since the tyre is already low profile so it makes ur wheel looks funny though. Ahh r3 springs..won't your oem absorbers worn faster on r3 springs?I will try to sell my R3 spring after i get my adjustable.hehe.. guess I'll stick to 195/50/16 atm then..dont want the weird wheel gap or probably use r3 springs along with this size lol |

QUOTE(angrysnail @ Oct 27 2014, 01:08 AM) If u ask me,i still not satisfy with R3 lowered looks.stiil have a gap like 1.9 fingers(mine la) from 2.3?i think so..The only thing make ur car scrap the ramp is the R3 splitter. If you aware last Neo CPS 2010 model its already lowered without any sport spring and splitter.I believe proton already change the OEM shocks in this latest neo cps. Hmm, what if I pair R3 springs together with the oem tire size 195/50R16, do you think it will scrub fender? And currently on stock suspension, my rear (2 finger) as compared to my front (2.5 finger). Weird setup by Proton |

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Oct 27 2014, 08:57 AM) i'm using 205/45/16 with stock suspension. the larger gap is not noticeable. in actual it is just an additional 5mm gap, hardly can be noticed. but using 205 tyre give a wider surface area, better grip and handling. Hey there, so meaning to say there will be an additional wheel gap of 5mm for rear and front after changing to 205/45R16?5mm would be equivalent to half finger right. Because I feel the ride is quite high on 195/50R16 thats why was wondering whether to pair it with R3 springs. |

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Oct 27 2014, 11:59 AM) my finger might be bigger than yours, so not the same. Yeap mine is half finger for 5mm lol. Hopefully the wheel gap wont be too obvious if I put that size la best is take a ruler and see 5mm is how big if you don't know. QUOTE(Max @ Oct 27 2014, 12:48 PM) I was thinking of putting the campro snorkel too but needa find a good mechanic to fix it cause there's a hole below at the old snorkel where it'll create a vaccum loss something like that.Heard there's performance increase and fc reduce right This post has been edited by peejayboy: Oct 27 2014, 12:53 PM |

QUOTE(Max @ Oct 27 2014, 01:09 PM) the campro snorkel pnp only. only need to cut half the mounting 'ear' at piping. the bottom hole can plug off or put hose (washing machine drain water hose) directed to front for cold air intake For the bottom hole, what do you mean by plug off ? (lets say if i dont want to use the drain water hose method). Wont plugging off the bottom hole create another hole? Btw, any differences after you install the non-cps snorkel? |

QUOTE(Max @ Oct 27 2014, 02:14 PM) Yes, im referring to that bottom hole. What do you mean by plug off and how does it differs from putting a drain hose.If i dont touch that hole does the snorkel still work efficiently? Paiseh keep asking you lol |

QUOTE(apikkullah @ Oct 27 2014, 04:21 PM) i need some suggestion on installing UR bars. Thinking of getting the front strut bar. Anything else should i get? budget around 300. Or I should not get the front strut bar? suggest me something I did not use the FSB on my CPS because it is rubbing against my hood insulator and the intake snorkel...you can try and see if it happens the same to yours QUOTE(Max @ Oct 27 2014, 04:47 PM) stock setup got the L shape tube. thats for collecting water if water goes thru the pipe.. however, i think water cant even get in thru the pipe. even at the scoop there got small drain hole.. and at the bottom airbox also got small hole for water drain. Right and is it possible for me to ignore the L shape tube whereby I just leave it there as it is. if put washing machine hose, u can direct the pipe to front where it can get cold air intake. got someone blog doing the mod.. here: Intake sekunder *credit to the blog owner. And do you mind sharing what are the feedback from using the non-cps snorkel? any difference to your car? |

QUOTE(Max @ Oct 28 2014, 10:33 AM) didnt notice difference bcoz a month after got car, i already put the campro snorkel.. so cant tell the difference.. hehe I heard it improves FC and high rev too. If you realize, the lotus and r3 rs edition uses cps snorkel while mss track r3 version using non-cps snorkel. but from i heard, should improve FC. the campro snorkel+scoop noticeably bigger than CPS one. CPS scoop side view. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « It would make me believe that the cps-snorkel actually is more for city drive (low-end torque) and vice-versa. QUOTE(azrul24 @ Oct 28 2014, 10:52 AM) Any idea how much the cost to change absober mounting and drive shaft(left side)? I would like to know the price first before hantar repair, tak mau kene tipu. Lol. Why not send to proton and check? at least its OEM lol. QUOTE(anarchy2cruo @ Oct 28 2014, 02:05 PM) Something like this QUOTE(Max @ Oct 28 2014, 02:23 PM) That is why I'm in dilemma whether to change to 205/45R16 or stick to 195/50R16 on stock suspension. Really afraid that the wheelgap will be more noticeable for 205/45R16 This post has been edited by peejayboy: Oct 28 2014, 04:54 PM |

QUOTE(kakicipan @ Oct 28 2014, 08:53 PM) it is noticeable. i used T1R 205/45/R16. stock suspension. thinking of getting an adjustable but nayy, no budget this time. Please dont tell me 3 fingers in front and 2.5 fingers behind? Very noticeable as compared to 195/50R16? But i bet the handling is way better than stock size eh. |

QUOTE(afiqms @ Oct 28 2014, 10:30 PM) I see AD08R there QUOTE(kakicipan @ Oct 28 2014, 11:45 PM) according to my fat fingers, 2 fingers rear, 2.5 fingers front. or maybe due to the old suspension (denial mode on). lol. I just feel that 195/50R16 the ride height is quite high. Planning to pair with sport springs If i were to stay on with this size but dono will scrub fender anot. tbh, if you are a light right footer like me, not much difference between 195 and 205 in term of handling. you can opt for FSB as additional accessories. |
