QUOTE(xkjon @ Sep 2 2013, 02:51 PM) Only 3 games in and already everyone's making a big hoo-haa about Moyes. My fren suddenly popup saying that liverpool is top now and pijak MU from begin till end of the season Take a chill pill guys. Go wank off if you need to cool down. SAF said to stand by Moyes and that's what we should be doing. We can't expect instant success from a new manager and correct me if I'm wrong, but it took SAF a couple of years (probably more) to win his first trophy. Today I only know he is liverpool fans. |

QUOTE(lethalyellow @ Sep 2 2013, 03:03 PM) Hello guys fellow fan of Manchester United. 1. One good thing about Phil Jones is he is our English O'Shea. damn versatile and can play almost everywhere. we have yet to see him take up the goalkeeping gloves though.Yesterday, we lost but there are a few things that we can improve. 1. Phil Jones needs to relax. But this will come to age as he is very young and very eager to tackle the opponents at every oppurtunity. Take a leaf from Ferdinand's book, tackle whenever necessary. 2. De Gea did not do a lot last night but when he was called into action he is very alert. He will be the one of our greatest goalkeepers. 3. Why is Giggs playing? I am a United fan and I idolize him but how many passes does he make in the final third actually finding someone? 4. We don't expect Ashley Young to be a world class winger but he needs to be consistent performer if he wants to stay at United IMHO. 5. Cleverley suddenly become lightweight and I have a theory. If you need to play Cleverley, you need to play him with Anderson and another midfielder sitting behind him. You cant pair him with Carrick and expect him to steamroll over Gerrard and Lucas. He plays well with Ando because they like to string a few passes together and plays one two to get things moving. 6. Welbeck should be a striker pressing in the middle not on the wings. He is not a known crosser and seems lost when he gets the ball on the left. We might sign someone or might not before the transfer window closes but if we dont then we will need to do a bit tweaking to ensure that we keep going. 2. De Gea is amazing, I have to say. there was one moment where a backpass was underhit by Vidic, but he was aware of the situation and manages to save the day. 3. Giggs last night was underwhelming, failing to fall back into midfield everytime the ball goes into Liverpool's possession, but he is still my apek tua idol. Questions however arise why did Moyes play Giggs instead of Ogawa Kerusi Urut. 4. He never was consistent everytime he plays. For me now, he is just a below average winger always losing the ball. But I hope this changes. 5. Cleverley is a Carrick-style (personal opinion) player, passing is his game, but there are a few things that he needs to improve. Frustrating at times, but can produce amazing passes. 6. You can't blame Welbeck for that, you have to play Moyes for playing him out of his usual striker position. Welbeck, I believe, cannot play as a supporting striker because his decision-making skill is unbelievable (in a bad way), and his first touch too. I hope the players do improve after this defeat. But Liverpool showed resilience and United were unable to produce a final product worthy of a goal. Second half was just a blitzkrieg from United, especially the final 15. And now let the Transfer Window craze begin. |

QUOTE(sunblaze @ Sep 2 2013, 03:56 PM) If you see MU's trend...they don't always have a good start at the beginning of the season. They are usually the slow starter. Not to say that I went into panic mode last night, but more of being frustrated, especially see how they gave away the ball easily. |

Under SAF the team started slow as often as not. He only really started pushing extra hard for a blockbuster start after Mourinho had his 1st season at Chelsea and set the bar at that level. Before that, I remember some slow starts.
1W 1D 1L is not ideal, but it isn't "OMG" either. Considering Moyes is new at the club and the opening fixtures, it's decent. Hardly surprising if he needs time to get settled and get into the swing of things! |

not expecting miracles from Moyes, I know it takes time for him to establish his grounds and surely he will get frustrated having to see rivals doing well just because they have established their grounds in their respective clubs.
I'm not blaming him for the loss. apart from why giggs and not kagawa. frustrating week for us on market and on pitch, but we will be back. And it's a horrible fixture. I know in Dec we have 3-4 days apart for a tott and everton match. cruel! friends taunting "suddenly all united fans are silent". Please, just because of a defeat doesn't mean you are owning the league, best has yet to come ;p come come herrera ozil fellaini baines derossi etc etc! ;p |

Actually the most confusing thing for me so far has been how the Everton negotiations went.
If the interest in Baines is serious, could have just stumped up the money Everton wanted at the start of the window (17mil?) for him. Negotiate seriously, pay up what is needed, then as soon as the transfer is done.. pay the Fellaini release clause! 40mil spent, but 2 solid signings in the bag. 4million more than the 2nd offer made for them, but it would have put the club at a stronger position at an earlier point in the window. Now it's the 11th hour, every club is going to try and raise prices as much as possible unless it's someone they're dying to get rid off (ala Madrid dumping players a few seasons ago when there was a change of President). |
