Get the HDD model number from Device Manager and do a Google search, you may get all the technical specs there, including if its a 7mm or 9.5mm model. btw, thanks for all the info! really helped me decide Can anyone confirm that this uses the 7mm or the 9.5mm HDD? If Hard Disk replacement SSD then no difference - Almost all HDD replacement SSD comes in 2.5", with a 3.5" caddy for fitting into a desktop. |

Thats cheap. I went to Lowyat Plaza and asked around, and the best price was 2199 if I remember properly. Where did you buy it? btw, thanks for all the info! really helped me decide Can anyone confirm that this uses the 7mm or the 9.5mm HDD? I wanna get an ssd for it. |

QUOTE(rafazafar @ Sep 17 2013, 02:30 PM) I see the mSata point when I opened the back, as you can also see from the picture pasted here. Whether or not Acer actually wired the msata point properly to allow it to be used is the question.Didn't actually have a msata on hand to check. I only stock full size SSD. |

QUOTE(houjiji @ Sep 18 2013, 12:16 AM) that is 5470, haswell model.for 5460, its a 3rd gen processor for 5470, its a 4th gen processor. core i5 is slightly expensive, add another rm100 but no touch screen for me, i rather choose Dell Vostro instead of Acer due to onsite warranty |

I'm wondering whether swapping the HDD to SSD and adding RAM will void the warranty. Any thoughts?
And if swap the HDD to SSD, what will happen to the pre-installed W8? |

Hi all I'm thinking to get this real soon, but I came across that the GT740M might come with either GK107 (128bit bus width) or GK208 (64 bit bus width) ver., and I believe that the GK107 ver.is stronger (not sure by how much), can anyone pls confirm which ver. u got? And from which seller?

QUOTE(mfitri77 @ Sep 17 2013, 08:55 AM) Personally, I would go for the Acer. The Z400 still suffers from too much screen wobble, and that is not good for a touch screen laptop. i had seen my friend's lenovo z500..its screen really seem not so good..acer v5 473 had a better screen compare to lenovo z500 or z400?n wats the different between acer v5-473 n lenovo z400 touch?beside z400 have dvd rom while v5 don have?and lenovo giving a 2 years warranty right?how bout acer?Nope. Once Acer has decided on a certain spec for a certain country, they will stick with that regardless. And I know of no one who is interested in importing foreign Acer sets. Probably due more to the local warranty policies though. This post has been edited by martian7793: Sep 21 2013, 11:09 PM |

I want to get the Vostro 5470. Anyone knows where to get it besides online from Dell? Looking at the lowyat pricelists, doesn't seem like anyone currently carries this Dell model....
