Hahah... My dad wanted a deep golden brown pup. But she was the only yellow lab in the litter that was socialble. Her sister was a deep brown but so scared and timid. Then all her brothers were black.

well, I HAD a golden retriever and a labrador before..hehe... 

my goldie was Crystal..got her from a breeder in Singapore..poor girl died at the age of 10 months old due to food poisoning...swore to never ever let my dogs go near my house gate anymore...itchy fingers throwing nonsense inside...tht's what we suspect lar..cos we've seen it before..but jus this time din manage to save her... 

my lab's name is Pip..cheeky lil guy..he was one of those labs with big bones..a breeder wanted to pair him up with his female pup..so we let him go..since the breeder had a big land and Pip enjoyed himself amongst the other labs..and we were having problems at tht time.. 

but overall, i love retrievers..such sweet natured dogs..hehe..always trying to please their owners..and so beautiful too.. 

i'll get myself another retriever in the future..when I have my own house with a nice garden for her..

We've basically gone through the same thing which is losing our four legged darlings . I once had a ECS and it was stolen , thank to our cruel neighbour .

i've always kept my doggies indoor...cos of what happen to my golden retriever..AND my american cocker who got lost...i have no luck with dogs..

anyway, Tammy is gorgeous!   Pip was the same colour as her...ahh..the memories..

wish i could adopt the golden retrievers..but my place is jus too small for them..they won't get to run around..

really??? aiks...so u know how i feel too....horrid people...so sakit hati right? haih..

and i also found out from the breeder who i gave my lab to..my lab's future mate was poisoned by some construction workers nextdoor...so sad!!!!!

he's still alright..and the breeder is moving somewhere else to protect his doggies..

Fala is about 5 months plus / 6 months .. I too thinking of getting a bodyguard for her , but it's impossible as am staying in a terrace house . 

Ahhh, next time lah. I always have dogs for adoption but mostly they are mixbreeds and mongrels. Once a while got golden retriever. Oh yah, I got a mini pincher... interested? Hehehe... adoption lah, not sale.

Keep her indoors first. I found that if you keep labs with watch dogs, they act like watch dogs also. Coz my boxers bark and act aggressive with strangers near the gate, Tammy does that too.

But once stranger enter the house with our premission, Tammy instantly change into a friendly jumping dog.

Since your Fala that age ah, better put indoors first.

Definitely . Guard dog , hmm what do you recommend but it has to be a small breed one ...you know lah terrace house . Another thing I am afraid is my Fala might not like a companion after all . *note* she is very possessive .

But the size doesn't scare them... LOL...
Usually ppl will look at the size of the dog to determine whether they are fierce or not...
Like Great Dane, eventhough it's not a guard dog, ppl see the size alrdy scare...

So so so true about the physical appearance . I dont mind waking up early in the morning to walk my dogs . I was once scolded by this Ah Pek , he loudly said my labrador will bite him when I was walking my then 3 month plus Fala ....

What i mean early is around 5am
Last time i saw a uncle with around 6 Rottweilers at 4.30am... i cycle pass them, damn scare lar.... hahahaha
