im not sure coz i just sent my phone to repair recently..previously is Android 4.0.4 then i try to update to latest firmware.(FYI...this is my 1st time doing this)

Instal Root Checker app and see if your phone rooted or not.
If rooted...try use SGS CSC flasher to change your CSC.

If not rooted..try flash latest full stock M'sian firmware via Odin.
If you lost your imei or data connection..then flash that EMG4 modem.

after i flash back to M'sian firmware via Odin 3.09 the IMEI change to 0049 and still emergency call only sweat.gif

Have you try flash EMG4 modem..?
Then go into recovery mode..wipe data and cache.
See if you get back your imei..

If still no imei and data network...reflash again the full M'sian firmware and I'm afraid you need to bring your phone to service centre. There..they will properly reflash the correct way.

flashing mg4 didnt help?

then probably gone case like mine...

i have efs backup on older version, i flash new and old rom and put back tht efs it didnt help...

even flash a mg4 rom with pit, bootloader, pda, phone and csc didnt help...

This would be hardcore case tongue.gif yesterday tried by backup efc with the modem from the firmware , then flash msia firmware ,it shows 'emergency call only' and imei '0049xx' , so i restore efs + modem then ok edy . Scare die me , thought my s3 gone case need to waste money to fix it biggrin.gif

Dun panic , flash the modem from the link from prrvious post the xxemg4 modem , then factory reset and clear cache . Then reboot and see .
Download the .zip file , extract it find the modem.bin . Flash with odin 'phone' below 'pda' .

unzip the files and take the modem section and put at phone in Odin

If you decide to sent for service centre...make sure you flash official full stock M'sian firmware first. Just let you imei 0049xx..it doesn't matter as long as your phone is on stock M'sian firmware.

Later at service centre. ..tell them your data connection gone and imei changed after you try to update your phone by using Kies.

listen......bcoz ur imei is already 0049 ...flash mg4 rom back or flash mg2 modem...your real imei will appear again....
now I want u to change ur csc.....
Open your phone’s dialer and type the following code
with your device IMEI number: *#272* Phone’s IMEI
Here#
choose xme and install...it will factory reset ur phone and reboot

u can flash any newest stock rom higher than mg4 no need to flash mg4 modem...
