I don't think I would be using any 4.2 rom at the moment, even the official ones if it finally comes out. The reason is because of the jkay framework and elegant theme that I'm currently using right now. Furthermore just did some tweaking with v6 supercharger, blazing fast. Wouldn't want my phone in any other way.

One question though, any of you know if perseus kernel supports init.d function by default? Trying to work with scripts at the moment
*
dont really like jkay.
he is charging for apps that are free.
all the tweaks that he make are all available in aosp custom roms.

right now s4 users are enjoy the xpose framework.
and with the nottach xpose, it has soooo many features.
too bad its only for s4. most of the tweaks dont work on s3.
with the xpose framework, s4 on touch wiz rom has all the features of custom aosp rom.

i just hope nottach will support s3 as well in the future.

Can we use PS2 controllers to connect to S3?
*
nope, PS2 controller is not standard USB.
s3 only got USB otg.

nowadays controllers with analog (similar to ps2 controller)
are quite cheap, less than rm50 can get already, works with normal USB otg cable.

It has a wireless receiver that plugs to a USB port.
BTW neato4u - Good to know that it works with SIII.
*
oic....i thought its bluetooth.
but if it needs a receiver, then the hdmi port wont work anymore.
cos the usb otg and the mhl cable uses the same port.

can only use one at a time.

Hi guys. I'm new to this thread. If I have anything wrong, please correct me and forgive me.  smile.gif

Well, my dad is having a s3 GT-I9300T. So which ROM do u recommend me to flash ? My dad loves s4 ROM. ( P/S : I'm using s4 rom on my s3 mini too )  biggrin.gif

But I don't know whether this rom suits GT-I9300T or not. ( I have asked the developer and waiting the developer to answer me whether it suits or not. )  hmm.gif  rclxub.gif

If its your phone, do whatever you like with it.
Because if u dare to flash rom, you're likely able to search for answers if any weird issue happen

If it not your phone, better leave it at stock and not tinker with it.
Unless the user specifically request you to modify it.

If any weird bug or issue happen, you'll be blamed.
And it's uncool.

Morning guys,

I've used the ZeroLemon 7000mAh battery since last June and I'm happy with it.
Due to my heavy usage (constant use of vid playback, web browsing, gaming) my standard battery only last half day.

With ZeroLemon, it last 2 days for me. And I'm currently on stock ROM

Appearance : Over-sized obese S3!
Feel in hand : Great.. especially when taking photos. TPU case is matte finished. Makes it good to hold.

Here's some pics (a bit blurry.. sori)
*
how long does it take to fully charge from 0%?

i was wondering since the stock 2100mah one takes 3 hours+ to charge.
this 7000mAh one need more than 9 hours then?

Sammobile show Samsung crazily releasing ROM for devices like Ace, S4 and etc.. drool.gif but none S3.. cry.gif
*
wow every day you also talking about samsung 4.2
if really that impatient, try out roms like wanamlite. close to stock with no modifications.

4.2 not much different from 4.1.
you get new lock screen effect, new menu organization, and quick toggles.
that's pretty much it. the camera UI is the same.
dont take my word for it, go try it you self and you'll see smile.gif

i'm more curious google's 4.3 why havent announce yet?
google IO already pass and so quiet about it. sad.gif

Aw....that will surely break a lot of heart.
Good thing I prefer to use aosp.

Using slimbean that salimbest recommend.
Indeed a nice rom with good battery life. It's so slim, entire rom inclusive of gapps is just 92.66mb.
Features of cm and aokp all present, but no pa stuff.

If you think of it from another point of view, this is actually really good news.
Samsung indirectly saying that our phone going to get 4.3.

That's fantastic!!

4.2 is just a minor cosmetic update, with no feature practicality at all.
I gladly skip it if I can get 4.3.

*
Same camera ui as Cyanogenmod and other aosp rom.

Similar to root box.
It also has the true view and smart capture feature.

True view prevent viewfinder from being cropped.
Smart capture is wave finger in front of screen to capture.

Today is upload battery usage day?
So many people upload theirs.

Here's mine then. Kiasu. Haha.
Slim bean, navigation for 38 mins, 1 hour voice call. But only get less than 4 hours screen on.
That bloody android os drain is still present. Not sure it's bug or fake reporting.

Playstore seem to cause lag and slow to the phone when installing/updating apps in 4.2.2, anyone facing it too?
*
yes. happen on nexus 7 and s2 also on jellybean
maybe new play store version is like that.

long ago during gingerbread time play store can download and install multiple apps at the same time.
and doesnt cause that much lag to old my s2.

now it do one by one but case severe lag an unresponsiveness for about 10 seconds for each app install doh.gif

actually my previous reply sparked my curiosity and i did some google search.

found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1810048

so simple and easy to do. basically copy the said system apk to pc, replace 2 files inside,
then send back to the phone. reboot and profit.

i choose a very nice looking nexus ring. very satisfied with it. :-)

go check the thread, inside the first post got many links to other lock ring also.

dont let the long thread fool you, the actual steps are very short and simple.

that TS very kind, do screenshot for every single step.
but i think that makes people think its very long process.
its actually really 3 step only.

1. send framework.apk to laptop
2. replace picture you want inside it
3. send back to phone, change permission and reboot

thats all.

some lock ring examples
