Haha, i love CNC3 rclxm9.gif and more importantly that i addict to RTS games. So im no complain on CNC3 rclxms.gif
Watching SupCom gameplay make me want to try it. (Big map woooooo)
So i if this game good than i want to buy ori (try to supoort yooo) drool.gif
I check every CC at my place at Damansara, i dont see any CC install SupCom. So my guess is its either bad game or not popular in Malaysia. That why i ask here if the game is good brows.gif

So even there still people play SupCom outside Malaysia right?
Oh, just check at OU the FA price in RM70. So wanna know if that is the true price? Kinda surprised me why its so cheap? Does SUpCom RM70 to? CNC3 price is like 129?

can la, who say cannot. smile.gif just that prepare for slowdowns.

eh, even the CORE processors also have problem la k, it's just a matter of time.

i've personally tested SUP COM from single core to dual core to dual core much OCed.

the longer you play, the more it slows down. even if each player has 500 unit cap, imagine how many units are on screen if you fully build?

btw i play SC:FA almost every day. smile.gif it's very interesting, even when vs computer.

C&C3 is nice BUT seriously la, you think about it - what crap of warfare is C&C3 la. aerial warfare? LOL. what aerial warfare? the StormRiders are the only unit i like. the GDI / NOD air units could drop some load and need to reload. well, at least that NOD helicopter (what's the name ah?) could be upgraded to beam weapons but they still are purdy sucky when you compare to supreme commander.

in supreme commander, wow the T3 bombers. without proper AA setup, just a T3 bomber would rip the whole base apart. yes. single unit! same goes to T3 ground / sea units.

then there's the T4 unit, my favourite - the Proton Kumbang. ok i should call it Perodua Kumbang. biggrin.gif Cybran T4 experimental gunship. and the ever powerful UEF Fatboy damn nice for attack but too bad it gets pwned by air units. haha. Seraphim T4 bomber also damn fun to play, great for clearing bases while Aeon's CZAR - damn useful if you can't run, just let your unit RIP right on top of enemy base, and perhaps the enemy commander. smile.gif

my point? SC's factions MAY have similar unit types / style BUT the tactical options are huge!

hehe in supcom, it is all about tactics........i still dun get bored with it yet.

goldfries, u still play everyday??

personally, i find T4 unit are fun, like Aeon giant robot using it beam sweeping other ppl base.....but very slow lar......... only the czar and seraphium T4 bomber is fast.

It is very fun when u play in land battle, pc rush and adaptive opponent will be very effective send all they got agaist you. When they have enough resource, they will send in a lot T1 bomber to ur base. The fun begine when u forgot to build AA, hehe

Syiok using those T2 stationery builder ... Very fast and good coverage.. No need put those stupid slow builders on patrol.. Sometimes patrol but never repair also.. BUT must watch out at the beginning if Commander is damaged.. Straight away power down..

Its really a nice game just that the requirements are too high and since not that many players around people aren't that intrested in it.

70 ringgit is legitimit just that its its a localised version that means that the menu is in malay.

hmm yeah even my duo core 6300 with 8800 gt have problems running the game in full, but then again in standard competition game it last only from 15 min to 45 min. Which is decent for most coms to handle.

Seraphim T4? Damn I have not really tried seraphim yet since I got my FA ori quite late, and now Im on sins.

SC has it's flaws
1. air units - it will patrol but it will not seek & destroy, meaning hit a bit then enemy not around in sight then it will continue patrol

2. ground units - puts priority on path. meaning it will shoot only when in range, it doesn't shoot until the thing burst before moving

3. stupid & ineffective - the units will keep on firing at opponent, even if their LOF is blocked by terrain. so yeah, i had plenty of units lost because they keep shooting ground when enemy shooting at them.

on the other hand i also had cases where that stupid thing saved my base. smile.gif

4. unit fails to understand priority. say a T3 bot. you tell him to shoot the T2 artillery. he'll keep shooting that direction even if blocked by factory. so you tell him to move. when he moves, he forgets the attack instruction and shoots something else. this applies to the units in general.

however those complaints aside, it's really tactical.

for example. should you
1. spam T2 units? the most cost-effective units in the game
or
2. spam T3 units, damn powerful but slow to build, slow to spam. slow to move too
or
3. spam T4 units, even slower and it gets worse if it get pwned while travelling to enemy base, or worse, when building
4. build strategic missile and hope enemy has no defence yet
5. build T3 artillery lablablabla

i like this game cos it involves a lot of decision making.

+10M and +90E
would you upgrade an extractor or upgrade the factory? smile.gif

Heard some complaints that the strategic missile has been nerfed seriously that makes it unworthwhile. Did they fix this in patches?

Strategic Missile takes forever to build.. Build T4 experimental units more faster and effective..

Btw, I hate it when they shoot the ground too.. Especially on Naval units.. Cruise missile so syiok on my base while i must get bomber to destroy 'em..

So what is the min req?
Mine is
Core 2 Duo 2.0
Leadtek 8600 GTH
1GB RAM

I dont mind play in minimum setting. BT just plan to buy one more ram. SO that will make it 2GB RAM.

And how do you play in dual screen? Can you guys show it picture? I just know that you can view map zooming in and out.

Yeah man I feel T4 is much more resiliently to attacks than Strategic Missiles, take for ever to build delivers low damage compared to T4. while you can build 4 T4 alread.

You can you have to set in windows display control panel to see double monitor then, only enable it in video setting in supcom control panel.

2 gig? hmm.gif Im running on 8800gt 2gig dual channel how ever the extra ram does not feel any diff only the upgrade from 7600 to 8800 does.

more than enough la. i know people who play with single core and 7300GS.

better processor and more RAM is more helpful than the graphic card.

GC does help if your graphic setting is high.

but I've personally tested gaming with hordes units. on my earlier setup it was the single core processor, then X2 3600+. back then, it won't be long before the system goes into a crawl, with 1 second in game as 3 seconds in real life.

now after i changed to an even better system, it took much longer before the game actually slows down.

do remember that this game REALLY does need a lot of processing power because it actually takes note of the thousands on unit and their waypoints / instructions and everything else. AI included.

not yet. I'll look into that. smile.gif

btw one thing about Sup.Comm is that the AI intelligence varies on maps. some maps they're difficult like crazy (like having easily 8 T4 units along with a hordes of T3 units) while on others they just practically have T1 / T2 and minimal T3 here and there with no T4.

some don't even have to choke them.

i played a 40x40 map, the computer has limited mass and has to cross water to gain more mass and i find on that map, it performs much slower than those maps where mass are easily accessed.
