yeah...this game lags like hell on my rig when i have over 100 plus units. :/
have to tone everything down...but doing that makes the graphics look like a pile of crap which is worse than TA. damn...i'll skip this.

i checked temp monitor on my graphic card after 4 hours of play

still like idle only.like gpu hardly used. Even quake4 makes my temps go really high.

conclusion
either the 8800gtx card is just too freaking powerful
or my best bet this game is not about graphic power but rather u just need a lot of video ram.

i think u need more CPU power as maybe mine was the cpu bottleneck. cos many units, physics, shadows need to be processed. cos if it is regarding video ram, mine shouldnt have any problem to play on moderate to high settings. even FPS games dont lag so much on my rig. lol...

hmm possibly since it was tested with a 7900gt extreme 512mb with e6600 on stock.

Hi, are u using 8800gtx to play supreme commander? O.o How much is ur GC cost? Mine is 7600, but i hvn't install yet. Hearing all those comments from player really makes me shocking, so darn high requirement.
My PC is E6300 18ghz c2d, 1gb ram and 7600gt. Do u think i can play well under medium settings with over 100 units? I plan to set the shadow details to the lowest. Thanks for commenting.

Btw guys, wat's the difference between special edition and normal edition supcom? I asked the shopper but she said she doesn't know. She said normal edition cost about RM 160 while special RM 200. Wat's the difference between them? Anyone knows? Thanks for replying.

hmm actuall was talking about this game yesterday to a few friends
we all came to a conclusions

yup definately u need more than one core and more ram on ure graphic card
u DONT need a faster GPU.

cause mine was hardly hot when playing this game compared to so many fps out there.

uses about 300mb to 400mb with everything at max

also i am using 8800gtx sli
but no diff using one card and two card as it doesnt support sli.

tested just now at stock speed cpu.
fine.

so definately u can play.
if it cant overclock ure cpu.

For me its my graphics when I set the resolution lower its much smoother.

Are you running the game on a 8800? Prolly a 8800 is too powerful for this game and more of processing power is needed. But definately setting the resolution does affect my lagness.

True True cos no fps games utilise duo-core.

I think your com show run this game with no problems even if you set it to high just that you have to mederate your resolution, give it a trial and error and tell us your experience for me its the resolution.

The collectors edition comes with a special DVD. Posters plus I forgot check the earlier posts.

Hmm I wonder about that cos when I set it to a higher resolution it lags, have you tried the game of different GPUs yet? As in diff friends with diff GPU and CPU/RAM?

FYI i run on 1680x1050. lol...will try other res. but non native res will make the graphic looks blur.

Collectors edition, does not make any diff for me anyway since Ive been playing the full version b4 chinese new year and finished the campaigns just hope to play GPGnet.

The badge is basically in the shape of the Supreme Commander logo in the game and is silver in color. Its kinda big and heavy for a badge, but still cool nonetheless.

Anyway, there are a total of 3 ACU posters, one map of the galaxy/tech tree and 3 postcard sized faction cards.

maximum units i played with cheat hack just to test graphics

400+bombers 400+interceptors 500+tanks 400+mobile air unit.
havent had the time to really play the game.
everything at high with force 16aa 16as.
all at 1440x900. By this weekend will have a new benq 24inch or a dell 30inch
so till then will post how gameplay is at higher reso.

sli doesnt mean 2 times the performance.
this game doesnt support sli.
usually for games that doesnt support sli difference will be noticeable at crazy resolution with everything high 1900x1200 above.
fraps counter on this game not true.. so cant use fraps its like it hit a limit of 60fps all the time.

I thought you can only have 1000 unit cap?
