I'm planning to get this game but I think I'll have to change my video card.
Read the requirements, only support nvidia based cards??
What about ATI ?
Thinking of getting the cheaper Radeon 9550 since I'm still on AGP.

Radeon 9550 won't take you anywhere with games like this. Dude, people with PCI-E gcards and 64-bit system experiencing much lag. With your current system, it will be more lag.

Well, one of my relative still can play sc in minimun quality but Map Beyond 20km will lag like hell biggrin.gif
He computer spec is as follow:
1) AMD Barton 2500+
2) 512 MB Dual Channel RAM
3) Radeon 9600SE 256MB RAM

I suggest u get a better gc with 256MB RAM or more.. nvidia 6800XT or Radeon X800 GTO will be good budget choice biggrin.gif

Added on March 4, 2007, 8:51 pmHey guy, manage to get the link to download the patch. Before i put the link here, just want to ask is it legal to put direct link to download the patch?

hmm i dont think this game needs like a more power gpu rather it would require a lot of Graphic ram.

reason was playing it with my setup and friends 7900GT 512mb gt extreme
no difference in gaming at 1440x900. Pretty smooth all out.
But when my bro is aussie tried with his 7900gs 256mb.. he told me it was unplayable when a lot of units..

Max units i have so far played 6300 units...no problem.
this game is definitely needs a lot of GPU ram rather than CPU or GPU power.

err me...
no difference.
but that was gaming at 1440x900 since i sold my dell 2407.

but judging from previous games that dont support sli..
usually at high reso only sli will beat single card.

Because this game brought my rig to its knees, I decided to uninstall this game. The loading is quite fast, whatsoever. But in the heat of battle, it will be too laggy.

Mine lags with 50+ aircraft onscreen, with land to air combat but it's still playable.Air to air with land to air,my com will drop to <10fps per second.

Like that,i dont need to play loh.
