Just picked my Savvy MT few days before Raya. so i spent my Raya zipping back to my kampung in my savvy overall the car handling is very good and my wife aka co-pilot told me to slow down cause i'm taking corner way too fast on winding roads in Pahang too bad that you can't adjust the steering wheel height. FC is quite okay for me. RM 50 for one day 426 km trip (Bangi-Raub-Tanjung Besar-Kuala Lipis- Seremban). I bought savvy as a second car as i finished paying off my iswara and me and my wife travel a lot.

Anyway glad you make the choice..gratz on ur new Savvy.. Love the ride n handling. now my cars' odometer is 1400 km for a one week old car will send for service this Monday.

QUOTE(ocphangaz @ Nov 1 2006, 11:57 AM) how come people keep comparing tiara and savvy... both are different cars eventhough they are replacements. can't we take it as proton's move to replace the lousy tiara with a much better savvy? I'm just only asking what brand of spark plugs savvy use since both cars have continental engine. sheeessh.

well i disagree this topic should be locked, but i do agree that the bashing stops here. my 5 months savvy has done 11,000 km and i took the car for service before the CNY. Paid nothing for the service plus they wash the car too This weekend i will sent the car back to the service center to have the car fitted with bodykit Well my FC has stabilise now as i can get around 460~480 km with RM 50 of fuel.

QUOTE(dstl1128 @ Feb 22 2007, 01:03 PM) Very good. Just wanna ask, is this mostly in highway or city? I think this is the main selling point for Savvy, not 'build tougher'. Another thing Proton could improve its Savvy sales is to ensure 'cheaper parts cost' mindset for its Savvy's french engine/mechanical parts. City driving(80 %) plus highway driving (20%). I think i got a good FC due to my driving style. I change quickly to fifth gear when ever i can and i dont usually floor the throttle from standing still. In the city, i usually stick to the speed limit and on weekends i go back to my hometown in Seremban, and on highway i do constant 120 kmh.

QUOTE(khsj @ Mar 1 2007, 09:33 AM) Hi im very interested in the savvy but for savvy buyers have u encountered any engine problems so far? I've heard that since it's a renault engine it may heat up here in malaysia since it;s hot here. Also i can't seem to decide on the 2006 and 2007 version? 2007 version seems better without the V at the back and also has ABS and airbag. Hmmm. but it's more expensive. Also is ti true that the manual version saves more petrol compared to the AMT verison? savvy owner here 11,000 km clocked, so far no problems...

QUOTE(khsj @ Apr 8 2007, 06:37 AM) just a question for savvy owners, does light around the keyhole light up? My dad's old wira and current perdana keyhole lights up, just wondering whether the savvy's keyhole lights up too? IIRC, nope.

QUOTE(Pro-MX @ May 18 2007, 07:17 PM) there is no reason to bash a "cheap car" for having its signal placed on the left....this is just typical msian mentality...."aiya , why signal put at left side so mafan!" drive manual ah? mafan!....just learn to get used to it then it will be fine and VIVA pricing is really stupid....44k for the highest spec and its onli 1.0? i rather get myself a SAVVY H-Line which have all the safety features and a 1.2 liter engine that pwns MYVI anyway and its pricing is almost the same as the highest spec VIVA 100 % agree with you my savvy is due for 20 K service. luckily i still i can use the PE service coupon

QUOTE(CoupeFan @ May 19 2007, 07:51 PM) men, i knwo its not a problem if driving slowly normally.... but if u are a street racer then its all different... thats why its a major problem for racers... u know.. must fast shift and control streering street racing is illegal lah bro and furthermore if you are racing (proper racing in circuits) you'll never need to use signal lah....

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ May 21 2007, 11:34 AM) lol at LHS do not want dudes. Personally I don't care about it. Heck, at home my mom drove an Iswara which i would use to send her to everywhere when I'm at home. We also have a Renault which only I used, and that Renault not only uses LHS, but the gearing is also changed, as you need to push forward to get into reverse. same as savvy manual

QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ May 25 2007, 10:13 AM) Added on May 25, 2007, 10:27 amWell regarding a flying Iswara, I wonder if savvy's owner have a difficulty when shift gear for the 1st time. U see, the R is actually located at 1 for normal manual car. So the risk to reverse is high. So, a flying savvy might happen later. yes. it took me a few days to get it rite When the reverse sensor goes "beep", then you know you've engaged the reverse gear.
