I'm entirely not interested in any body kit at all, so I don't have details for zerokit. Instead of asking here, just force yourself to a nearest Proton dealer and request for a test drive.

QUOTE(Azuma-kun @ Jun 12 2007, 04:17 PM) Can any amt onwer answer my question. Just test drive it. Of course it can. Just tap the gear to the left, it will become manual. And then tap up/down just to change the gear. Or tap left again to go back auto. Can u change ur gear mode from AT to MT while moving? Let say when u're moving aroung 90km/h in AT, then u want to change to MT. |

QUOTE Dont want test drive. really dunno how to use the amt. so i need more info before i try it scare the car will spoil It won't spoil even if you dummy about it. It is quite fool proof. It is even easier to use than the change to left-hand signal. QUOTE tell u la... i try once later no dare after my savvy spoil... push to manual then got "kruk kruk kruk" loud noice then i think now spoil jor This is just like amplifying the rumor regarding City CVT gearbox. Only handful of Savvy owner got it due to incorrect fluid used. Added on June 12, 2007, 4:48 pmBtw, the Savvy I tested is old Savvy AMT from one of the salesman friend. Clocked more than 40k km already. Still smooth. This post has been edited by dstl1128: Jun 12 2007, 04:49 PM |

QUOTE - No rear wiper <<< used occasionally, but very useful in heavy rains I think this is not good. Hatchback (or 'flat-ass' vehicle) tends to get its rear screen blurred by tiny water droplets easily. |

QUOTE rear wiper: maybe RM300? but it was not tat useful on my myvi... the rain drop wont fall on rear screen bcos it rear Weird, my Vi now and then I have to switch on the rear wiper during raining, because it is all blurred out after period of time. No it is not the moist. Anyway, a very basic Savvy AMT is sweet. But 37k is a bit on the high side. 35k or slightly lesser would be better. QUOTE BEcoz i think that installing all those accecories in the lite savvy is going be a hassle with all those wiring and stuff. I would prefer my own CD/MP3 player, speakers, rims & tint. |

No, it is not moist. The droplet is definitely not moist. Plus my aircon is definitely not max, I always use minimum settings. I didn't apply any windscreen protection stuff, so droplet will stick on.
Just like my LandcruiserII, the rear screen gets lot of water droplet. And I believe they put a rear wiper on hatchback (and not on sedan) has their reasons. |

QUOTE To each his own, i think Myvi are more powerful than the Savvy anyday. If comparing manual, yes. If comparing auto - EZi vs AMT, EZi tends to saturate on the 3rd gear with hi rpm, while having the overdrive gear useless in adding more speed should it upshift. AMT will have a little more punch here. Having best of both world (manual + auto), I think AMT is quite good for city driving. Plus it is quite fuel efficient. Just that Savvy is a little rough on the engine noise. |

QUOTE Gen2 is a no-no. So many problems reported, even salesman ask me not to buy!! Low re-sale value, high fc and the cascrated CAM"PRO" engine without the Pro. No thanks. Gen2 manual isn't high FC. 12km/L is reasonable for 1.6L. |

QUOTE(crayonhuat @ Jul 25 2007, 06:38 PM) i just went to test drive proton savvy amt today. The gear switching depends on the driver. Noob AMT driver will make it rough. Engine power isn't really superb, but torque is there. Don't expect much from 1.2L performing like 2.0L. Besides the spaciousness and the 'feel' that MyVi wins, Savvy is quite good and flipping the 5spd AMT stick is easy.the experience is lower than my expectation. although the ride and handling is stable but the engine power and transmission not smooth enough. it is like the car classic too heavy and hardly to push forward. gear switching not smooth even in semi-auto mode. 1 word = bad. perodua viva power is more smooth but riding experience quite bumpy. overall hyundai 1.4 getz is the best experience i had once i test drive savvy, viva, myvi and getz. this saturday will go for satria neo 1.6A test drive. hehe. QUOTE I won't do 100% engine braking - I prefer to sacrifice the much cheaper brake pads. 100% engine braking is fine and you are not sacrificing the engine anyway. QUOTE Just hit 105km with my Savvy....but 2 bars of petrol gone liao??? Is it because the engine still haven't break in yet? I didn't rev the engine, just drive normally. Come on, put a Savvy journal here. Tell us your feel about the Savvy manual. I'm still eager to have AMT Savvy. I don't know why. |

QUOTE When using this oil, first cold start in the morning will shows the RPM increase to 1500 a while then before stabilize to 1200 for the auto choke function which is normal before go down to warmed up engine's rpm's 800. Auto-choke?! That's for carburetor engine. |

QUOTE(soulfly @ Sep 11 2007, 12:53 PM) At least Savvy fanboys aren't as bad as Myvi fanboys..... keep bashing Persona due to loosing the popularity of their beloved Myvi. There isn't any difference from bashing Japanese makes due to loosing the sales/popularity of their beloved Savvy - both are equally as bad. |

QUOTE Do you use a lot of highway cruising? Mine is basically 100% city driving (SPRINT and LITRAK don't count as highway coz always jam!!! LOL). Not always highway. A mix city of journey to chowkit, cheras, lowyat from melawati. My average is around 360~370km for RM50. If I go for highway melawati-puchong (+ jams), I get 380~390km for RM50. If I go from melawati-wangsa maju lrt, I get 260km for RM50. I usually drive with a very consciously right foot, cruising smoothly in the city. Only occasionally rev high right after toll (can't resist sometimes). When I pass myvi to my sister, she got 320km for Rm50 and complain to me FC high. I make fun of her having elephant leg, and then teach her. Now she can get 360~370km. I have no idea where she drive to but she came back and says "... now is better." p/s: My max is 15km/L for EZi. Sluggish in terms of gear change response or acceleration?
I'm not sure about gear change but acceleration might take ECU time for learning your driving pattern. AMT is cool btw. |
