Maybe that's an acrylic mod to show the inner workings of brake rear lights... just like our PC case modding scene.

QUOTE Ya...i plan to get the new AMT Savvy. But not for now. I'm thinking about the same, since I'm concern about FC anyway. iDSI is too much and I doubt CVT reliability as much as AMT, but Savvy is cheaper lot. Is there any chance Savvy (HiLine) have ABS/SRS dual airbag/EBD? Keep this thread going. |

I know Hi Line got such stuff, but browsing through Proton website, all I got is "*For selected model variants only. Also available in the up-coming H-Line variant."
Btw, any one know Proton dealer that is close in Setapak. Today I just pass by the main road searching for Proton showroom but can't find any. Wanna test drive the AMT. p/s: Actually after seeing Viva, Savvy looks even more promising. This post has been edited by dstl1128: May 12 2007, 11:56 PM |

QUOTE ABS + Dual Airbags no EBD... frankly speaking for small or compact cars, EBD dont make any difference plus EBD works best with 4 disc brakes... not 2 disc / 2 drums From Proton website: QUOTE ABS* ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) provides better manoeuvring when breaking hard or on slippery terrain. EBD* EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution) enhances ABS feature by distributing the right brake force to the front and rear wheels. Also improves cornering braking performance. BEBD* BEBD (Back-up Electronic Brake-force Distribution) takes effect should ABS and EBD fail. It helps maintain rear pressure to ensure vehicle stability. *For selected model variants only. Also available in the up-coming H-Line variant. May I know which page shows the pricing for Savvy? I couldn't find any in Proton website. (www.proton.com.my) |

Since all signal light stick follows the rotation of steering wheel, is there a problem?
I would had been more worried if the accelerator pedal was on the left and clutch on the right. |

Savvy sales might improve because of Viva, Viva looks so cheap.
Not to say about the size, sooner or later no more Kelissa/Kancil size to buy, left only Savvy. This post has been edited by dstl1128: May 18 2007, 05:31 PM |

Just test drive old Savvy AMT (beige interior) and obtain brochures.
Pros: - nice to drive Cons: - rear headroom height: my head almost touch the top The Hi-Line version wasted have that 1.2k+ extra 'useless' accessories. And Silver Metallic color only available for Hi-Line version? |

QUOTE what could the "useless" accesorries be ? Mats, visor, tint, trunk tray (I think 1 more item I forgot) for 1.2k? I would happy to get the Hi-Line without these extras accessories. Immobiliser, ABS, airbags aren't listed within the extra accessorries; the extra accessories is practically useless except the visor. If normal AMT could get Silver metallic, then I get that one. Other than that, I'm tosing the coin to get Hi-Line or normal AMT. p/s: Lol. Soon I'll own two arch-rival cars - Savvy AMT and MyVi EZi. Added on May 21, 2007, 10:58 amAnd for the left signal light. When test driving, the 1st three signal light uses I accidentally turn the wiper. After that, I just get used to it. So WTF complaining the LHS. It took less than 2 min to learn. QUOTE who knows after whacking around in the savvy, u will want to drive it more then your myvi Heh. I'll let you all know my comparison on both after I got Savvy. I'll definitely drive Savvy more since it FC is so much better than MyVi auto. I'm very concern about FC, so I used to think getting iDSI. But after thinking 2 x Savvy = 1 iDSI... hence my current choice. QUOTE hypocrite alert Who cares? Added on May 21, 2007, 11:09 am QUOTE Do the accessories include zerokit? No. The zerokit is entirely packaged as another model (If I'm correct). I never fond of bodykit anyway. This post has been edited by dstl1128: May 21 2007, 11:11 AM |

Only 2 choice. Not transferable/convert to cash.
Added on May 21, 2007, 11:29 amActually I am waiting the announcement for Viva and the pricing. But then when things came out - utter disappointment. That's why I said Viva might push more people get Savvy. This post has been edited by dstl1128: May 21 2007, 11:29 AM |

Where's hypermount?
I want to know is there any soundproofing by default from Proton? I remembered hypermount's says older Savvy have it but are absent in the newer ones. Any pic as to what the soundproofing looks like? And where it is located in Savvy? |

QUOTE u have a proton car but ur avatar says "tak nak proton" LOL. I haven't book yet, just going to. But my avatar has nothing to do with my choice of car btw. Savvy is a good car nonetheless, just that I just know one part of it is being fitted with fragile plastic. |

I haven't ask, but if it were possible, I would take AMT HLINE without 'useless' accessories. That extra 1.2k isn't that worth.

Weird, if I remember correcly, those two soundproof are absent in the car I view.
QUOTE I'm going to check out the Savvy 07 and test drive the Viva 1.0. The bareness of Viva feels like the 1st batch of Kancil. Even Kelisa & Savvy feels much better. |
