just booked 2008 h-line at full price

quite impressed with this car.. my sis juz test drove this car.. and i sat behind.. the handling is really good, its really easy to make a U turn with this car.. but one thing i really dun like is the really really ugly interior.. looks sooooooo plastic..

and the auto transmission in the amt isnt very good.. but really like the manual in the amt..

i think we might juz get this car.. mainly bcuz of FC.. but still kinda like this car..

eh guys... savvy base line AMT is around how much eh now?

cos they think perodua is superior compare to proton. haha. if people be more realistic like u. erh. don flame me. hehe.

i havent got chances to sit at the back while the car is moving. hehe.

i think the interior is fine.

one thing to take note about, amt is not an auto car. still the feel driving it is like driving a manual car. so should expect hiccups jerk when changing gear.


ok. this happened to me few days ago n yesterday.

1. i am slowing down for a bump. tap brake. engage gear N. slowly i slowdown the car then i try to engage gear again. i still press/tap the brake btw. yet my gear still at N. refuse to change. at the end i hv to fully stop my car then only able to change gear. paiseh cos at the back got 3 cars and at that time i edy pass the bump. b4 this i able to change gear D <> N without any prblems; when the car is moving.

2. happened yesterday. my gear stuck at gear 3. hang. no matter what i did still stuck at 3. no problems with clutch cos i can stop the car and the engine still turn on. damn! so scared. i stop the car. turn off the enggine. then start it back then only it change back to N. so far everything seems normal to me.

can any1 tell me why? so sad. btw mine is amt hiline.

1. actually it happened to me b4.. u suppose to fully stop ur car before change the gear.. i think, maybe it's for safety purpose.. but then why u shift to N when the car is moving? even when u stop at traffic lite also dont have to shift to N.. actually it ady in 'standby mode' just like u shift to N. all auto cars are like that if im not wrong..

2. happened to me quite number of times. u have to play with the accelerate padel so the car can get the rite speed to shift to appropriate gear. better get used to it. i donno whether it's a problem or just a normal thing happen. better ask hypermount or others who expert with amt thingy.. but then, for me it's still a good car and fun to drive.. u know what, everytime i got passenger, they will impressed with the way of amt function. besides, i will speed until the limit and they will say that the car have a good stability etc.. they dont ever think that savvy that good!

A good news to share with :

7 AMT Savvies, after change the Original Renaultmatic D3 SYN
AMT Fluid, these 3 main problem was solved,

My GF WPP Black AMT only OK for Kruukk Kruukk sound when
the robot changing gear, but other 6 savvies owner claimed :

1. The Amber 'AUTO' light which sometime lid on when in trafic jam was 100% NO MORE already!!! (My GF one never faced this problrm b4, Others 6 savvies have experiace, but now no more!!)

2. They claimed some time when they engage D from N, there is some phenomenom which from D changed back to N!! But after changing the AMT fluid to this one, THIS PROBLEM SOLVED too!!
(My GF AMT also have 2 times facing this problem before, but now ZERO)

Maybe this tip can help other AMT friend here.

Please try to change your AMT fluid to this one, maybe you also facing the same problem, I hope it can help.

Method of changing AMT Fluid (DIY),
(It should be opened at DIY Forum - but since related to
this topic, I open it here)

What to prepare :
1. 2x500ml Mineral Water container.
2. 1xNew Plastic Shringe Body
3. 300-400mm silicon tube (Can buy at aquarium shop)
4. 1 box of tissue paper.
5. Renaultmatic D3 SYN AMT Oil.

Method :
1. Put Renaultmatic D3 SYN AMT Oil full into 500ml bottle.
2. Set the silicon tube to plastic shringe end.
3. Wrapped with tissue papers all area to the AMT tank.
4. Sucks all old AMT fluid out into 500ml blank bottle.
(This blank bottle can be slotted at radiator area, it can stay fit)
5. When full, take out that bottle, put a new AMT fluid bottle.
6. Again, suck one by one until all the 500ml of new AMT
fluid goes in.
(Actual is 600ml, but at the tank is only 500ml)

Caution :
1. Never put much, it will spilled out when you drive.
2. Never spill the AMT fluif into wirings/parts, it shall damaging it.
3. Throw the old oil correctly, save our enviroment.

Just bought the Elf oil at C.K Wong Auto Supply Sdn Bhd in Segambut. The price is RM80. This co is proton parts seller. Even the oil bottle has Proton sticker on it. And yes it is the 2 liter bottle. It is the same used in Waja 1.8 ATF.

To go there, from bulatan segambut head to jln ipoh. first junction near old total office, turn left to jalan segambut. in front of goh ban huat is a traffic light. turn right. first shoplot on your left, see their sign with the proton logo.

BTW, the amount to be used is only 0.6l as VVIP Guest said. See the manual please. At the back of the manual. Do not change the other oil. And I have checked with my friend SC, he asked me which one to change upper or lower tank. So be careful for those want to change on your own.

haha i tot tat my savvy is just a small car used 4 working onli..

today go shopping for car sommore and found some dealers, still lots of stock. they claim the stock is auctioned from proton edar, because they are clearing stock because they stop producing savvy!

die lo like tat...

thanks for reply. my phenomenon is diff. i cant change gear. my gear stuck no matter what i did. stuck at gear 3 manual mode. try change gear cannot. change to auto (D) oso cannot. stuck hang. no matter what u did it stuck.

i have to stop my engine. turn it on. start the engine. then only i hear sound from gear box change the gear 3 back to N.

Aiyooo...dont stop production lor. Now savvy will be alot on the road because of fuel price. That's i'm very sure.

are u using the elf amt oil or proton's atf oil?

1. why? cos if not mistaken from savoc if u shift to N ur clutch will be free from any stress. can prolong ur clutch lifetime. rather than pressing break, ur clutch can become hot if it activate too long. huhu. not sure. smmore can save a little bit of fuel. hehe. if i see the trafic light is red from far i can free up my gear and let the momentum do the job.

2. the prob is my gear stuck at 3 manual mode. no matter what i do it wont change. the only solution i got for now is turn off the engine and start the engine back. haih. yea. amt is fun to play around with. cornering feel confident at hi speed.

the standard fc for savvy is 15km/l?
how come so far off from the 23km/l claimed by proton??

amt base line (lite) RM36999 for metallic and RM36549 for solid...

Added on June 8, 2008, 9:38 pmi guess becuz they test drove the savvy with a constant speed of 90km/h which is the optimum speed i guess.. and we drive very different.. some like to drive faster, and some juz like to tekan minyak alot...

They got that figure with alot of unfair condition. No spare tyre, no aircond, maybe no rear seat also
All cars manufactures is the same.

the 8sen is done by normal civilian wor. during the malaysia book of record attempt some years ago.
