guys, what is the good setting for rims & tyres for savvy?
(i dont know much about tyres & rim)
what i know 195/50/R15 will give problem... is it true?
any recommendation...?
if got picture will be better...

i am pretty lazy to call proton i-care as i believe depend on dealer or branch to give discount or not; this is not promotion from proton itself. but quite logical old stock should hv discount. my mum edy asked the SA n said no further discount. maybe i will ask my mum to ask SA's boss can get more discount or not.

n how many time do i hv to repeat myself, no d/p as the 5k discount from scrapping program can be use as d/p?

n it seems not only johor got weird pricing. it seems melaka proton oso hv weird pricing. in brochure only this 4 model came out:

savvy lite non-metalic
savvy lite metalic
savvy facelift non-metalic
savvy facelift metalic

judging from the price, its standard facelift without abs/airbag with a price of 43k for metalic n 33k for lite non metalic. why aa?  

Who interest that manufac 2007 and it was a new car.. u can ask for me here. i intro u go tat shop buy la../ RM38K .. but u ask him more discount to u ..  tat is M-Line i think SA M-Line.. AMT le.. i just get the car last week.. nice drive..

just now i speed 170km/h at PLUS hiway.. tail-gating a modified Wira (i just think so cos the muffler really big and noisy. or just a poser? ) 

guess what? im the winner. that wira cant last any longer at 170km/h.. savvy rulez.. haha!

just realize this car got no side mirror electronic control like blm aa? even for hi-line?

btw, i prefer savvy interior. blm interior so simple. huhu.

my latest FC report for Savvy AMT year 2007 (february), mileage 35k++..

RM50 - 410KM

city driving 180KM (most of the time is traffic jam)
hiway driving 230KM (average speed 140km/h, sumtimes 160-170km/h)

and i can say the FC is good. cos if drive using the right speed RM50 for 500km shudnt be a problem.

erm..good fc info here...
i heard savvy can go up to 90-100 for rm10...
that y savvy is the best car in term of fc..

so then which one do u suggest i buy??? savvy or saga???

i prefer saga coz of the space, but i prefer savvy bcuz of fc..

so im really kinda lost rite now.. and the savvy is slightly more expensive...

but is the price difference worth it??? or should i go with the saga???

oh yea.. and i forgot to ask.. does the savvy haf airbags???

Let me clarify the different kinds of "jerks" here..

1. The "jerks" when AMT is shifting - like in manual cars when you release clutch too early. The solution is just get use to the AMT system, you need to ease the throttle a bit when AMT is doing the shifting for you in Auto mode.

2. The "jerks" like what Han2 said... it's not a jerk actually - more on vibration. Signs are engine vibrates violently, loss of power, engine misfires when accelerating, weird smell cos unburn petrol is not being degraded fully by catalytic converter...there are classic symptoms of one or more cylinder is not firing due to no combustion, spark plug isn't getting voltage as required to ignite - the culprit is a leak at spark plug connector and voltage got grounded on the spark plug's tube wall...since in savvy's case if the cable is faulty, need to change the whole coil pack that comes with cables - there's no distributor as the timing is determined by the ECU....so the ignition system is more efficient than old type coil with distributor - yields less FC.. since the coil pack is not cheap cost about RM350... I've done a mod job at the connector, just swap the insulator boot from other cars.. cost me RM10 nia ( to salvage old plug cables) compare to swapping the whole coil at proton SC for RM300 (out of warranty la)..

3 Another type of jerking - this is indeed a true jerks - car jerks when going slow/low RPM at 2nd gear, yes on gear 2 only for both AMT and MT. The culprit this time is the TDC sensor, Proton calls it engine speed sensor, other common names are flywheel sensor, crankshaft position sensor...proton shouldn't call it speed sensor as it's misleading - there's another sensor called speed sensor, on the gearbox - to provide input for speedo reading..

Usually cleaning the TDC sensor solves the problem...if you don't solve the problem - it will lead to more serious problem - car can't be started at all, got cranking when battery is in good health.

in hometown. just got my savvy amt hi-line.

orange color. man, suddenly i fall in luv with it. (cos at 1st i prefer genetic silver but then need car fast; hv to take orange colour).

so far no jerking problems.

everything so far look + sound ok. just now i drive it for a while. not bad.

amt is way cool! can switch between manual and auto on the spot (when moving).

well, maybe i got problems with fuel meter gauge. huhu. cant read it accurately.

btw, for engine burn in, izzit ok if i rev it? huhu.

coz if im worried if i order now, i wont get the new type, coz i find the old grills and the V shaped tail behind to be really really ugly.. i like the new one tho..

i dont think u'll get the old version.. suppose to be new version if u order now. but donno la if they still have the old savvy stock..
