so if I want those that produce alot of vapor what do you recommend?

btw, how should I insert the batteries? positive facing the firing or opposite?  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Almost all mods, positive is top, negative is bottom. Positive pole is up because ur tank is on the top, thus it needs the current to fire. The body is the negative/grounding, so thats why negative side of the battery is bottom.

Theres a lot of tanks currently, so it depends on the person vaping. Different design/concepts have different pros n cons. Vivi nova to me is the most practical, but in terms of throat hit (flavour taste), is the worst. I myself is currently using an Aga-T (Genesis type), throat hit not bad, but the downside is ur flavour runs out quite fast. Drip tanks on the other hand, throat hit is not bad, but the downside is to drip flavour everytime n u gotta recoil (service/change wick) frequently.

Thats why im getting a Kayfun 3.1 (a tank). Tried it a few times during vape meets, its throat hit is beyond any ive tested. Quite expensive la, but I think its worth it now Im pretty serious in vaping.

But one thing I can be sure of is... Mortar if I am not mistaken, has pure solid copper firing pins. No matter what other kind of firing pin, other than pure gold or pure silver, sure lose to pure solid copper.

Yeah yeah noalox! Doesn't make a difference on new mods but once the mods get old... it does wonders! We use it on old wet cell battery solid pins in the server room and also on solid copper ground bar connectors. The difference is a lot.
Yea correct, its pure copper pins.

Noalox works like a charm. Hehe. My friend uses it on his Rio, by applying a small sip of Noalox on the positive side of the battery to prevent his firing pin from melting. Lol

But back to my question, I think im getting a chi yu with silver pins. Tried my mortar with my friend's kayfun. Damn fugly. tongue.gif

The Novice requires that the battery be inserted with the positive facing down which sometimes causes the device to fire accidently. A friend of mine had that problem but a small washer solved the problem for him. And it has an option to add a tank too. smile.gif

afaik, for mechmod, it doesn't matter how you insert the battery:

- u can insert the battery while sitting, walking, jogging, lying down, or any other position you like as long as it goes into the mod tongue.gif haha

- you can insert if positive/negative facing up, it doesn't matter, it will always fire. why don't you try it yourself? try insert it both ways and see for yourself whether it can fire or not and which one's better. and share your findings here smile.gif

Yes, it will fire both ways but some mods like the Chi You will fire if you use a battery with a nipple tip and insert it upside down without pressing on the trigger so you need to be careful. Leave it that way for too long and the battery might leak if overdrawn and it might cause an explosion if you put too much pressure on the battery.

BTW, anyone here has experience buying items from FastTech Hong Kong? I've heard that the customs will stop and confiscate items from them.

Singapore has totally banned E-cigs so not worth to risk it. Maybe you can take it as a trial to totally quit vaping and smoking. tongue.gif

My nemesis clone firing pin dismantled itself just now into tiny little bits!!!! Turns out everytime I use it, the firing pin will loosen a bit, ugh.
Anyways to overcome this problem?? Using 18650 batteries.

Yeap! Maybe will confiscate only lar. But is fine now, coz FastTech now ships via China, not HK. Check out their main page notice at the top.
I just ordered a few stuff.. Maybe you can wait a few more days and see how my items fare.

Anyways, anyone here DIY their own liquid? Want to steal some recipes from you guys, hahahaha

My favourite and the only one I vape now, I call it Tangy Strawberry Lemon Zinger.

Ingredients:
1. 75% VG (No PG since I am sensitive to it)
2. 4% Lemon Flavouring (Or lower % also can... the lemon flavour very strong!)
3. 15% Strawberry Flavouring
4. 6% Orange Flavouring
5. 5 drops/10ml of liquefied Stevia sugar (Can buy the Equal Stevia sackets and dilute in PG or any UPS grade alcohol or pure VG)

All flavouring I use star brand. So far works very well for me.

that kind of coil we call micro even only 6 loops tongue.gif

oh trident. the sunken base is suitable to hold the cotton in place. does seems like a good choice for that.
i did hold a clone one and didnt like the build quality. wonder if ori is better.
