Is the developer a solid public listed entity with good track record?
Ans: Nope
Action: do not proceed , case closed
Save all the hassles now.

I visited the show unit 2 years ago. I too was tempted cause it is the right location but my banker told I could not get the right loan amount. I guess I was blessed not to have jumped in. For whatever reasons project at good areas can be abandoned. Just look at Empire City Damansara. Everyone who bought there must still be crying.

Good area has minimal influence on whether the project will be completed. It might increase the chances of white knight later, that's all. Look at the developers financial standing and track record. You are indeed lucky to have avoided this mess. |

Just bad Home buyers dun have to buy off plan project. Unless there is mulpractice within the developer, if normal biz failure due to imcompetemcy of directors there is nothing you can do. |

The reason businessman use company as a shell to protect themselves and liability.
Not the intention to rub the salt to the wound, but as a buyer who buy off-plan the developer reputation is very important in the decision making. Of course there are premium attached to these developers. that's is where the balance of risk and reward comes to play.
