Today my clutch pedal joint broken. Unable to start car anymore in gear. ( only free gear can start) Have u guys experience before? Mind to share the remedy and  repair cost? Thanks..
*
PRICE at June2013
replace cable clutch and bracket workmanship RM50,
brake pedal(clutch bracket) rm85,
cushion D18D (for clutch pedal) rm0.80*2 RM1.6,
cable assy clutch release (x69 Rm64,
tax rm3

this is price before GST

this happened for 2 reasons.
1. the clutch cable dries up. happened to many kelisa
cable assy, clutch release (x690-mtm) code 31340-87z14-000 rm60.40,
workmanship rm32.
TOTAL with GST to replace clutch cable: RM97.94

2. i assume your kelisa is older than 8 years, the clutch will become very hard. i had my clutch set changed around 2013. and as for today, the clutch is getting very stiff, especially when the engine is hot. i believe its a common problem. i already heard many ppl having this issue.

all above is serviced at perodua.

Hi all, got a few question regarding a problem im facing with my kelisa. Recently my O2 sensor went kaput and needed a new one.

My question is, after installing a new one does the mechanic need to do some resetting, tweaks, setup on the cars ECU? or is it ready to go?

Also does anyone know any shops that can do this type of repair? The service center is quoting about 1k for the sensor... blink.gif  blink.gif

I am thinking of just doing it myself, so any opinions on this matter?
Your help and advises is highly appreciated.
*
mine was putus last time. the sensor will cause engine light to turn on in the dashboard. this one must be fixed. otherwise the FC will be very high because it can't detect the right level of o2, therefore computer will pump more fuel.

i had mine checked at p2, they charged me rm600+ for the entire harness, in the end i went to a workshop nearby to have the putus wire resolder back. and it worked fine.

i would suggest you to get original parts for this. otherwise the computer might confuse and sending wrong data to the system and may cause the engine light to on again. try to see if you can buy it at spare part shops.

good luck!

Hello friends,

my kelisa parts in the engine bay are vibrating and gets shaky and noisy when idle with gear (either forward or reverse). my foreman checked and said its time to changfe the engine mounting for my 2003 auto.

I remember i read the prices for original moutings + labour charges but i cant find them now.

there was a guy here who changed his engine mounting too....

can some friends here please let me know the price for original engine mountings + labour cost?

also, what is the cost for 1/2 overhaul (for the top engine part only)?

Thanks alot.
*
my latest quotation from perodua is around rm980+- for the mountings 3 pieces. excluding of workmanship of rm150 if i'm not mistaken.

outside you could get it cheap as rm300-500(around 2013) .. i wouldn't suggest getting recon/ daihatsu part from chop shop.

I have not event sent it for repair until now. No moolah and no time. I was thinking of full overhaul cuz I changed the gasket and the valves before. Still eating up my oil.

could it be seals leaked? mine was 11 yr old and the oil filter's oil seal is leaking already. need to be replaced. and also there is one o-ring on the top of engine always cause leaking. i changed many times. almost like once every 1.5 year.

Gasket and ring was leaking. Either way did full OH and everything was fantastic. FC was much more lower and engine seems so much more consistent in acceleration

The outside mechanic charged me RM200. I am satisfied with the job done. But as u mentioned, my clutch still feel bit stiff. Maybe time to survey clutch set.
Yes, stock clutch. Reach 5k interval already, will check the clutch cable and any abnormalities as well. Thanks
Recently less urge for spirit drive as cars around get faster

a lot of kelisa manual having clutch stiffness. usually more than 9 years old.

i got mine changed with Exedy red set original, replaced at perodua, but only last me 2 years + the stiffness occurs. i'm not sure if this is a common problem for kelisa or not. just bear in mind, after u changed clutch, it might be stiff again after 2 years.

FYI, it got so stiff that it snapped my clutch cable..

brah, if its conrod. Its bad. Its nothing of DIY stuff.

conrod = connecting rod

this rod connects the the piston to the crankshaft. Hence the name conrod is given. You have to dismantle the piston and the cranckshaft to replace the bearings. So, its nothing like remove the oil pan, replace the bearing and reinstall the oil pan.

How many kilos the engine has travelled?

dude,
i suspect con rod bearing ...
my question was kelisa con rod bearing replacement, overhaul is a must ? or just remove oil pan and replace the bearing underneath the car ?

not to replace the connecting rod. cheers. just clocked 110k only
is the bearing connect between crankshaft and con rod.

how can you tell its the sound from conrod bearing?

Honestly, I cant tell if its a must or no. Because, you cant see the actual condition of the moving parts down there unless it is opened and judged by professionals. I am no pro hence I cant tell you the exact solution.

cheers.

Kelisa dont get 2001/2 model. Its a rebadge Daihatsu. The spare parts r very rare n expensive. Cannot use local ones,
Futher more must buy cash. Atleast 2005 still can get loan 3yrs min.
