Maybe your engine needs run-in period like the new cars sweat.gif that's why u can feel the roughness..for my car, usually upper half tank drop slow compare to lower tank ( ratio 3:2 )
Enjoy your ride.

Hi,i wanna seek some opinion. I own a 2006 850cc kelisa.the kelisa had gone 2 major repair; head engine (due to timing belt break and i try to start the engine hence the valve got bent.) and clutch broke.

I was about to change the car to a new city car but due to economy not that stable,i opt to stick with the car and repair it.so which one is better? Change engine or overhaul it?

What are the pros and cons for both?

Thx sifus smile.gif

Depends on individuals really. Weigh out both conditions. New car still has chance of it having to repair from time to time. Juz like Samsung phones, it is designed to not last long so that money keeps flowing into their bank account. Though it's less chance and tech wise, you save on fuel and also safety.

Kelisa is like a rare car nowadays. Its still fuel effecient. I overhauled mine not long ago and my mileage is from 390-400km/full tank before overhaul to 470-490km/full tank. Its a hefty price to repair but I guess it goes a longer way. Just need to change crappy parts from Perodua to Japanese and it may serve you well enough. Plus, in a city like KL, Kelisa cilok mana oso can get parking. Ppl bang oso not as painful as a new car. Just my 0.00002 cents

Saw a post here before.. someone took 4k to repair, but the car can last another 4 or 5 more years. compare with ur pocket with new car instalment (new) or worrying of the old car, its your call of which you prefer..

As I wrote before, I dun have the budget for new car for the time being. Luckily mine still serving me well. (Also 2006) In the future if I have the budget and choice, I might consider trade in. icon_rolleyes.gif thumbup.gif

Hi all, got a few question regarding a problem im facing with my kelisa. Recently my O2 sensor went kaput and needed a new one.

My question is, after installing a new one does the mechanic need to do some resetting, tweaks, setup on the cars ECU? or is it ready to go?

Also does anyone know any shops that can do this type of repair? The service center is quoting about 1k for the sensor... blink.gif blink.gif

I am thinking of just doing it myself, so any opinions on this matter?
Your help and advises is highly appreciated.

Saw on a website saying 1st gen o2 sensor much more expensive than 2nd gen. 2nd gen part only 1++. Your kelisa which gen?

Just sharing my kelisa when accelerate 4th gear to 90-100kmh OK. But feel no good when want to maintain at 4th gear for that speed, change to 5th gear more smooth. Is it clutch/gear related or just my imagination? sweat.gif thanks

Hello friends,

my kelisa parts in the engine bay are vibrating and gets shaky and noisy when idle with gear (either forward or reverse). my foreman checked and said its time to changfe the engine mounting for my 2003 auto.

I remember i read the prices for original moutings + labour charges but i cant find them now.

there was a guy here who changed his engine mounting too....

can some friends here please let me know the price for original engine mountings + labour cost?

also, what is the cost for 1/2 overhaul (for the top engine part only)?

Thanks alot.
