Hi guys, anyone know how much a fuel pump for kelisa cost + installation?
Car suddenly died and i cant start it. Mechanic told me it's the fuel pump.
*
Bro,check your cable from front to fuel pump under the behind seat..
My car mechanic check first said fuel pump but at end just the cable terbakar..so they just modify the cable..
save a lot your money

Yeah, the fuel pump was just based on my mechanic assumption on listening to the car engine sound. CNY nobody buka kedai till today. Getting it checked now. Apparently there no electricity goin to the engine on 1st check. blink.gif

just bought the engine bay degreaser.
going to clean up the surface of the bay comes tis festive holiday.
*
hot afternoon. decided to clean my engine bay.
... wrap up electrical parts, battery, air intake hose and 2 dont knoe wat parts but they look 'takut water type'.
... spray waxco engine cleaner. tis spray is sharp n spray little but sharp jets of liquid ( not foam as seen in u tube(.
... observe small areas that need further sprays n shoot!
... use tooth brush n help to brush n agitate the cleaner liquid. just simply brush the engine bay areas.
... wait for 10 minutes.
... i use ordinary water hose to shot lightly over .
... leave to air dry.
... later will spray silicon spray to the rubber n vinyl parts to make them more younger...haha

if u go to shops to wash your engine would b hot and can lead to cracks !!! ???

I think the mechanic tested the spark plugs and said that there's no electricity goin through when trying to start the engine.
Said it could be a sensor issue. rclxub.gif
Will need to see how it goes tomorrow. CNY PH can't get spare parts. mad.gif

12years this year.
Any idea what sensor the mechanic is talking about and how much it'll cost?
Seems to be heading to a higher cost than the initial fuel pump assumption. cry.gif cry.gif

So here's what happen. The guy removed the engine coil from the gasket. It was soaked in oil. Valve gasket leaking.
Tested all three coil. No power to them. Tested a spare that he had at the shop. There's power. So tech came to a conclusion that the coil is faulty.
Replaced all three coil and the valve cover gasket. Tested all 3 had power. Engine still wouldn't start.
Checked relay and EFI all looked alright. Swap relay. Still wouldn't start. Petrol was not coming in.
Check the power on the cable of the fuel pump. Said it's alright.
Said it could be a problem with the ECU. He was honest to say he hasn't replaced that before and he's not sure of the price, which gave me the opportunity to get someone else to check for me.
Called my normal mechanic. Towed the car over to his place.
Found out that the cable for the electronic engine control is loose or torn. Fixed it up. Light came up on the dashboard.
Tested. Engine starts thumbup.gif

Total cost: RM8++

mad.gif Not a great start to the new year. Whole day wasted. 5 CNY days carless

Forgot to mentioned. Did change some other worn out parts as well. The belting for pwr steering, aircon etc, the sparks plugs and the valve gasket cover. 480 to replace the 3 coils.
The rest was labour and tow.
Would've seek different opinions if the car would bloody start up. The problem was it couldn't. Only way was to tow. vmad.gif
