QUOTE(wh0cares @ Feb 2 2014, 09:44 PM) Thanks. 125kQUOTE(spikee7 @ Feb 2 2014, 10:14 PM) Bro,check your cable from front to fuel pump under the behind seat.. Yeah, the fuel pump was just based on my mechanic assumption on listening to the car engine sound. CNY nobody buka kedai till today. Getting it checked now. Apparently there no electricity goin to the engine on 1st check. My car mechanic check first said fuel pump but at end just the cable terbakar..so they just modify the cable.. save a lot your money QUOTE(mikehwy @ Feb 3 2014, 09:55 AM) Can't start. Just kicking sound. Battery is still quite new.Thanks. |

QUOTE(spikee7 @ Feb 2 2014, 10:14 PM) Bro,check your cable from front to fuel pump under the behind seat.. I think the mechanic tested the spark plugs and said that there's no electricity goin through when trying to start the engine. My car mechanic check first said fuel pump but at end just the cable terbakar..so they just modify the cable.. save a lot your money Said it could be a sensor issue. Will need to see how it goes tomorrow. CNY PH can't get spare parts. |

QUOTE(spikee7 @ Feb 3 2014, 09:24 PM) how old is your car? mine 11years edy... 12years this year.i think most of old kelisa will have this problem... need to do proper grounding after this Any idea what sensor the mechanic is talking about and how much it'll cost? Seems to be heading to a higher cost than the initial fuel pump assumption. |

So here's what happen. The guy removed the engine coil from the gasket. It was soaked in oil. Valve gasket leaking.
Tested all three coil. No power to them. Tested a spare that he had at the shop. There's power. So tech came to a conclusion that the coil is faulty. Replaced all three coil and the valve cover gasket. Tested all 3 had power. Engine still wouldn't start. Checked relay and EFI all looked alright. Swap relay. Still wouldn't start. Petrol was not coming in. Check the power on the cable of the fuel pump. Said it's alright. Said it could be a problem with the ECU. He was honest to say he hasn't replaced that before and he's not sure of the price, which gave me the opportunity to get someone else to check for me. Called my normal mechanic. Towed the car over to his place. Found out that the cable for the electronic engine control is loose or torn. Fixed it up. Light came up on the dashboard. Tested. Engine starts Total cost: RM8++ |

QUOTE(mikehwy @ Feb 4 2014, 07:51 PM) tow the car n replaced the coil cost rm800+? Forgot to mentioned. Did change some other worn out parts as well. The belting for pwr steering, aircon etc, the sparks plugs and the valve gasket cover. 480 to replace the 3 coils. shd have always seek opinion from other mechanics. most of the times it works! works wonder. The rest was labour and tow. Would've seek different opinions if the car would bloody start up. The problem was it couldn't. Only way was to tow. |

Guys,
Kelisa auto. Car vibrates when standstill and jerks when starting to move from idle position and during reverse. Switching off aircon, it will vibrate less. Any idea what could be the issue? |
