Guys,

I hv applied online for a vacant post in BHI. Then, I called BHI warehouse and managed to get a direct contact to the dept's admin. I fwd my application to her, and seek her cooperation to fwd it to her boss. I try to get feedback from her last week, unfortunately no pick up & response. I am dying for this job.. Should I call her over and over? Or try to get another contact? Anyone from BHI here can assist me?  icon_question.gif
Cheers!

Hye,
yes I did apply online through their career website. The interview was okay, just the normal questions asked during interviews to get to know you better, personality, abilities etc etc. But really need to impress the interviewer smile.gif

Many people have been telling me that I am lucky for getting a position in Talisman. I guess I am smile.gif. But can I know specifically why? Is it really hard to get a job with this company?

1 word "client".

even entering petronas is hard enough(very hard for me at least) much much harder entering non malaysian client side like newfield, hess, emepmi etc. smile.gif

but, if youre an UTP and/or foreign u grad i reckon its a "small portion" easier to get noticed and get a call up for interview.

Tu laa.. 'CLIENT' name in your CV will make it better.. I'm considering to join one of non Malaysian Client.. It's office based, but I'm used to work in yard environment and receiving SGD.. hmm.gif not sure can cope with that.. But lunch time sure can cuti mata at KLCC... flex.gif drool.gif
Btw.. I'm IPTA graduate only..

I think its quite bias that contractor / fabrication company / client list education background requirement for a certain post i.e. field / project engineer with certain discipline i.e. mechanical engineering background etc. Seeing other discipline from civil/electrical is often sidelined or neglected.

Where the truth is, fresh in the job, these young chaps are on the same platform being new & inexperience & need to be trained regardless of their background.

Guys & Girls, I need some advice please.

Does anyone have any idea about prospects (i.e. salary scale/demand compared to rotating eq engineers etc.) or anything to say at all about a career designing HVAC systems for the O&G industry? Also, what about exit options, will I be stuck or will I be able to use it as a stepping stone to jump into another discipline?

Thanks a bunch.
