Sorry, i think u got it a bit wrong there, age has nothing to do with making mistake, is actually quite the opposite, yes aging will take away your speed and ur stamina, but it also mean gaining experience. As a CB, experience is more important than the physical part.
And MATA definitely not the same type of player like DI MARIA or RONALDO. Both of them are speedy player and like take on defender which is crucial for the break neck speed counter and beating defender for cross in or cut into the box. While MATA does not really have that speed and rarely beat defender, his asset is his passing and vision. I see his best position is at AMC, OZIL role, spraying thru ball. A better comparison for DI MARIA or RONALDO type of player to us will be SHURRLE and HAZARD which both prefer the same role as AML and MOSES at AMR.
I also agree that KDB have been impressive during the friendly playing in the center role, where he play most at W.BREMEN while at GENK he was AML and is not exactly bad for KDB to play wing again because he got some really wicked cross. OSCAR play best at AMC, but at BRAZIL u can see he switch to left flank when NEYMAR cut in.
But i think who play where will be depend on who is starting, if OSCAR+MATA then most probably MATA on the wing, OSCAR center, if SCHURRLE+HAZARD then SCHURRLE left and HAZARD center or right. One thing for sure our AM are so flexible and during in game switching position it gonna give defender a hard time, man marking is difficult and a full back have to face few different type of player

Some how I feel Terry is losing some of his touches. Cahill's performance speaks for himself. He is ready to fill the big boots in my opinion.

About our AMF, I would have to agree with all of your point, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, KDB, Shurrle and Moses can all play in AMF, LMF or RMF. I'm sure Mou will ask them to rotate frequently in game to confuse the opponent and open up their defence.
