Barca seems to be interested with Cech. But Cech has ruled out a move in the January transfer window as he stated that he wants to finish this season with Chelsea.

Mou still regards Cech as the best goalkeeper around the world. But with Courtois having his 3rd season in Atletico Madrid and making the GK spot his, what is Mou's decision?

What if you are Mou guys? Will u cash in on Cech and promote Courtois to first choice GK next season? Or will u get a swap deal with Barca involving Valdes? icon_idea.gif

The Spanish giants have already made an enquiry for the keeper as they line up a successor to Victor Valdes.

Cech has held talks with boss Jose Mourinho and is understood to be tempted to leave for a new challenge after nine years at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho’s return to Chelsea helped persuade Cech to stay put for the time being. The 31-year-old was desperate to work with Mourinho again and the pair have already held talks in which the Blues boss indicated he is under pressure to bring through Chelsea’s next generation of stars.

Mourinho still rates Cech as one of the world’s best goalkeepers.

But he is also a huge fan of Chelsea keeper-in-waiting Thibaut Courtois, 21, who is in his third season of a highly-successful loan spell at Atletico Madrid.

Mourinho accepts the time is fast approaching when he will have to make a decision on bringing Courtois into the first team fray.

Courtois is a wanted man with Chelsea having received a string of offers for the highly-rated Belgian.

And he is also suspects Courtois will have no intention of settling for a place on the substitutes bench after proving himself in Spain.

Reports in Spain suggested Chelsea and Barcelona could strike a swap deal involving Cech and Valdes in January.

But Mourinho has no plans to let Cech go mid-campaign while the player himself is adamant he wants to see the season out.

Long-serving Barca keeper Valdes is set to quit the Nou Camp at the end of the season.

sos from dailystar

Cech has been with us for 9 years, in these 9 years he has won almost everything. EPL, FA cup, Champions League, Carling Cup, Europa League. I'm just afraid Cech might say it's time to move on, I've won everything that I can win in a Chelsea shirt. sad.gif

can we call lukaku back from loan? how to become champion when our strikers are incompetent?

and i don't think 'club buying trophies' is valid these days.. why not you see it the other way around? your club is a big european club, so where the money goes? if it is the club policy to use their own talent rather than buying, then no need to feel jealous at other club who buy players. its like giving a sucker punch to your own club who did not spend.

about supporting history, everybody need to start somewhere. i started with chelsea during ranieri's last term as manager. why? because at that time, i am a student at a college and i can go out to watch football. before that my parent wont allow me so, is that a sin?

chelsea have no history. i disagree. history is something that happen in the pass. we do got something to brag in term of history, although it just happened recently.

find other reason la to hate chelsea. the listed points are no longer valid these days.. make you look like a jerk.

+1 to both. To the invaders, this is football forum. We don't condemn the other teams, you can invade our forum with comments but please respect other clubs too. Every club has their own policy regarding about players, whether they want to buy them with experience, buy them young or promote from their own youth team.
I admit Chelsea might not have the glory history that Liverpool or Man Utd have. But ever since Roman bought this club and invested in it, the results are being translated on the pitch. We are slowly winning trophies and creating history. Albeit Roman keep changing manager, but the trophies remains, last season's uefa cup and the previous season's Champions League. Glorious history is not built in one day. Rome was not built in 1 day too please remember. icon_rolleyes.gif

And to the Arsenal fan, you wanna talk about glorious history? come, I show you....

Which list is longer eh? 1993-1994 baru win one European Cup. I see......

Our defeat at Basel really shocked me. sad.gif

But seeing those fans invade our forum and condemn us make me feel proud.

Chelsea must've struck fear in them just by looking at our squad with Hazard, Oscar, Mata, Willian, KDB....so now when Chelsea lose a game, they feel relieved, they bombard us. They thought, Chelsea is not a threat anyway. brows.gif

But what they don't know is this is just a blip. Chelsea will rise from this defeat. It's still early in the group stage. I'm sure Mou will guide us to glory once again.

KTBFFH!

I have a Man Utd supporter friend too. He keep complaining to me why Man Utd no sign Fab, Ozil or Herrera. We even discuss on where Man Utd should strengthen their squad too. So yea, actually we can discuss football in peace.

But there are bound to be some rotten apple in the bunch. So, just let it be. icon_rolleyes.gif

Come on guys. We must face the fact that our team is not playing too well and getting enough wins. Sure other club fans will come in and troll around. Just let it be.
In the mean time, Keep The Blue Flag Flying High! In Mou we trust! We WILL beat Fulham in our next game! icon_rolleyes.gif

Noisy neighbours....this reminds me of the Manchester Derby....Man Utd fans were saying Man City can't win anything, they can only make noise, calling the Man City fans noisy neighbours. lol

kesian chelski fans dont knw how to appreciate football, if my team wins eventhough they dont have to play football ill rage and support other team because the the beautiful game is more important than winning. might as well watch other sports, like golf or ping pong and go support the "winner" lol

Swansea played beautiful football too but are they in the top 3? Sometimes it's not just about beautiful football. In the end of the day, RESULT MATTERS. You have to WIN either with tiki taka style or hard defending style. When your team is leading 1-0, and it is the 90th minute, you still play attacking football? Attacking is an art, but Defending is also an art.

Imo our best starting line up is
-------Lamps-----Ramires/MVG-------
---KDB--------Oscar/Mata------Hazard
-----------------Torres--------------------

Lamps can really make our midfield more stable. Ram for his tireless effort.
I prefer speed over trickery, hence KDB and Hazard. About Oscar and Mata, I don't think they can start together in the attacking trio. If both start together, 1 of them will have to play on the wing, and either 1 of them is fast enough to play as a winger imo. tongue.gif

Yup. Ba seems to have lost his scoring boots in St James Park and Eto' has still yet to adapt to the way Chelsea play. Torres MUST start soon.

hope JM agree also..haha biggrin.gif, but im afraid he might want to go for result with very disciplined team, defend + counter?  sweat.gif

It's possible. It's Mou we're talking bout. If defend + counter in the next few games can get us some wins, then it's ok. Get some wins under our belt 1st, then only try to play the beautiful game. brows.gif

Well, Mou has stated his opinion when he say he see Oscar as his favoured number 10 role...he seems to see something in Oscar playing in the number 10 role.....Mou even made it public...and by now, it's pretty obvious he is sticking with Oscar as the playmaker....
For now, I can only pray that Mata works his socks off to gain a starting 11 position either it is amf or as a winger...let's hope Mata won't feel demotivated and maintain himself as a true Blue. Let's just hope he won't sulk and push for a January transfer...

I feel u too bro...I have no frigging idea why Mou did not include Mata even on the bench...our player of the season for the last 2 season in a row....I simply can't brain it too..... rclxub.gif
I hope the next game Mata plays. I hope Mou will see his mistake and finally resorted to Mazacar combo which worked out perfectly last season. doh.gif

QUOTE(Ichighost @ Sep 22 2013, 07:03 AM)
jose already clarified about this..he dont mind luiz play the ball or march forward..but he need to defend when we losing the ball..because he is a defender..

jose want mata to play RW..Robben style..but he still cant do that..and always drift to the middle..

if they follow jose game plan..they will be alright..now either both of them adapting or ignoring jose's gameplan...time will tell about this..

and about luiz..he only suitable to play adventurous if mikel also play at the middle..because mikel always drop as defender if luiz march forward..
*
+1 to both. I think Luiz should only play if Mikel is playing. Luiz is too adventurous going forward that he needs Mikel to sit deep and cover his position for him.

About Mata, we'll have to wait and see if he can adapt to Mou's ideology that he is a right sided winger. Great players are often played on the opposite side of their favoured foot, just like Zidane (right footed but played on the LMF) and Robben (left footed buy played on the RMF). I'm convinced Mata will soon adapt to it and be unleashed by Mou. rclxms.gif

I juz watched the highlight for Everton vs West Ham. Lukaku was phenomenal. His hold up play and link up play with the midfielders are so good.
Can u imagine Lukaku linking up with Oscar, KDB and the others. Why Mou wanted Eto and loaned Lukaku! Rage!

After watching the uber long Mou interview. I finally understand why he does not prefer Mata. He wants the team to be proactive, not reactive. He wants his front players to press down the opposition when they get the ball. He want tireless runners in the attacking quartet. That's why he chose Oscar over Mata. Simply because Oscar closes down on the opposition a lot when they have the ball.

In a way, Mou is trying to help Mata. Watching this it's clear Chelsea want to implement a pressing style similar to that used by Barca/Spain. If Mata can improve his game and include pressing the opposition when they have the ball in his game, I'm sure Mata can be in the Spain starting line up.

Mou wants Mata and Oscar to play together. But Mata's playing style for now, still does not suit Mou's philosophy. He wants the attacking quartet to trap the opponent when they get the ball. So if Mata improves on that, I'm sure we will see the return of MaZaCar combo. rclxms.gif

Yup. Typical Mou's style of playing.

And also through the interview, can see why he fancies Iva over Azpi. He said now Chelsea could not play too much diagonal ball or crosses because there are no tall and strong strikers to head in the goals, Drogba is gone. Azpi is a crosser compared to Iva imo. Which is why Mou is adopting the passing and high pressing philosophy.
