Wow, seems like Ba is in Mou's plan after all. rclxms.gif He will be a good back up striker to play in the Premier League. For UEFA, we need more explosive striker. thumbup.gif

Guys, need help from you all. Who are the main sponsors for Chelsea live in Malaysia?
*
I'm pretty sure 1 of them is Adidas Msia. ProEvents seem to be another 1.

Another striker in Drogba's mould linked to Chelsea. Seriously, why are we interested in Benteke when we already have the next Drogba aka LUKAKU?! He is good enough, just give him a full senior season playing for Chelsea. I'm sure he is up to the par!

Seriously this is really out of the blue! Schwarzer? He is still maintaining his form in premier league standard. Why didn't Fulham extend his contract! Probably because they think Stekelenburg is enough as the starter? haha. This is such a bargain for us. brows.gif He will add some competition to Cech + a very reliable back up keeper.

He wil be a superb 2nd choice. I rmb there's a season where Hilario and Turnbull was our 2nd choice and Cech was injured. Scary mang.

3 names that if we sell them will not disrupt the team structure..

Ba
Essien
Mikel

Mikel to go for me due to his lack of speed and mobility. But JM likes a deep lying midfielder, someone like makelele. So it depends on him. I have total faith in Mou. thumbup.gif

Mikel will shine in the 4-3-3 because there are 3 midfielders and he will act as the anchorman..

but in the 4-2-3-1

we can only play 2 midfielder..both must be good in play making, defending, and passing..Mikel lack of play making..that is one reason why Lampard still relevant..because he can perform and do it all..

Ya, the situation depends on Mou to use 433 or 4231. Just simply can't wait for the season to start. rclxm9.gif

Chelsea will step up their pursuit of Daniele De Rossi after Roma agreed a fee with PSV Eindhoven for Kevin Strootman, according to the Daily Mirror.

The report claims Roma will now consider offers for De Rossi after all but agreeing to the signing of Strootman.

The Serie 'A' club are believed to want £11m plus a season-long loan deal for Chelsea's latest Brazilian recruit Wallace. The full-back was signed by the Stamford Bridge club last season from Fluminense in a £4m deal.

Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of De Rossi, having twice tried to sign him before when manager of Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

With John Obi Mikel linked with a move to Turkey, the Chelsea boss sees the 29-year-old Italy international as the perfect man to step into the role at the base of the Blues midfield.

Whats your opinion on this? Will De Rossi fit into our midfield? Anxious to see De Rossi + Lampard combo. Or imagine De Rossi + Van Ginkel! Both so energetic! brows.gif

I like Rooney as a player, but I don't think he will fit into our system. Which position will he play? CF or AMF? But well, if Jose wants him, there is ought to be a reason. brows.gif

As a CF, a counter attack team with ROONEY  drool.gif but against a parking the bus team  shakehead.gif coz he is the type of player that like to have the ball, so he will come out to get the ball often then in the box no focal point. But he is definitely JM sayur, all rounded hardworking forward. I hope our style next season will be like RM lightning fast counter type, hate those tiki taka that will pass u to boredom.

+1 to both point

Rooney is losing his touches ever since RVP arrives in Man Utd.
Rooney is a good player when the team is attacking. When defending, he tends to drop too deep. Imho, he is an attacking midfield, not an out and out striker. brows.gif

Let's discuss about the striker problem. Falcao to Monaco, Cavani to PSG, Lewan looks set to stay. What other options for us left in the 20-goals striker for us? Not much option I would say, I have a feeling Mou will stick with Lukaku, Ba and Torres.

I wonder why we are not attracted to Damiao. He is big, strong, good with both feet and promising. icon_idea.gif

Higuain will be a good signing, sign Higuain and loan Ba out? icon_idea.gif

QUOTE(chitchat @ Jul 19 2013, 06:39 PM)
HIGUIAN ? highly unlikely, his relation with JM at RM was so so only, and JM play BENZEMA over him most of the time. Just another rumour made up i guess.

Of all the striker we are link, i actually think FALCAO is the best option, he is the striker that will stay inside the box and good at it, we do not need another striker that can play wide, we have plenty cover for that already. HIGUAIN was ok but like i mention above, unlikely it will happen.

The problem i see last season is that, against a parking bus team, when TORRES or BA was ineffective inside the box or drift wide, nobody go in and fill the box, we need more player doing smart run inside the box. MAZACAR definitely not the type that is comfortable go in the box, they prefer staying outside and getting the ball. A ROONEY playing the trident role (not striker) will help i guess, he got the striker instinct to do smart run to attack the box. I think SCHURRLE might has it too since he can play as striker.

Seeing all the available striker have been taken, i am pretty happy with TORRES, BA and LUKAKU. I say let start the season with the squad we have, give everybody a chance to prove themselves, then maybe by january, JM will know who is in his plan and who is not.
*
+1 on that. I think if Lukaku is given a full season in a Chelsea shirt, he will shine. Just that Torres is kind of inconsistent, hope that his goal scoring form for last season and confed cup can be carried forward to the next season. We really need a striker scoring inside the box, a finisher or should I say.

sign higuain? loan Ba? u trolling or wat?
higuain was not featured regularly when JM was there. i doubt JM want him here.
instead of loan Ba out might as well get him off ur wage book and offload him. one stone, 2 birds. in addition his physical aint that good as well. injured much often i guess?
*
hmm.gif I know he wasn't Mou's first choice in Real. Mou do prefer Benzema, but Higuain scores more than 15 goals for the last 5 consecutive season for Rea, except for the 10/11 season. Even for the last season when he was seldom used by Mou, he still scored 16.

season 08/09 - 22 goals
season 09/10 - 27 goals
season 10/11 - 10 goals
season 11/12 - 22 goals
season 12/13 - 16 goals

That is quite consistent imho. Looking at the options of striker available on the market now, Higuain would be a good buy, just dono how well he will adapt to EPL. icon_idea.gif

Ba's situation is a bit awkward i think, signed 6 months ago, but suddenly Torres starts scoring, then Ba became 2nd choice. Just bought for 6 month then offload him? I think he will be loaned out instead if a striker do come. 3 and half year contract le~ Teams sometimes are not willing to pay so much for a player that has juz signed not long ago with a 3 n half year contract.

Just my 2 cent. icon_rolleyes.gif

Seems like Mou really keen on signing Roo. And his comments about Rooney needing regular first-team football puts other 3 strikers' position in question. If Roo does come in, one of them has to go. Probably will be Torres. He could benefit from moving elsewhere. Ba might be good to have him in the squad, but if a club really wants him, loan or otherwise, maybe he can leave instead of Torres.

Roo is monster footballer. World class, only limited by his fitness in my opinion. Work-rate and team work undeniable. Dangerous on the ball, exactly what Mou needs. I would be happy if we do sign him, but won't be sad if we don't. I'm just looking forward to see Mou and the boys in action with Lukaku, DeBruyne getting first team football in Blue.
*
+1 If Mou say that, Ba, Torres and Lukaku is soooo in danger. 1 of them will be sacrificed (sold or loan). But who will it be? rclxms.gif

Hmmm...Kalas n Wallace not in the 25 Man squad. I think they be loaned out. Cb position is a concern for me. Currently only Terry, Cahill and Luiz for Mou as he stated before Iva is a right back. Luckily we have Essien that can slot into CB position. thumbup.gif
