Lukaku bench. T.T gone la my fantasy premier league.
Looks like Mou playing it safe. Cahill n jt combo. Luiz not even in the sub? Speculations he might leave for barca? cry.gif

Didnt expect van ginkel to slot straight into starting 11. Do expect lamps to be in starting 11.

Yup, i think Mou had 1 eye on the mid week game. Mata put on rest. Next game i think Mata, Lukaku, Azpi wil start.

Benteke's goal was gud, quick feet, pacey shot.

Mata lack Kdb's speed. Our attacking trio only Hazard has the speed. Oscar and Mata are creative but both lack speeds. Hope KDB will come in for either Mata or Oscar. Provide some pace on the wings. Now v are solely relying on Hazard's pace.

Mata is destroyed playin on the right..too little touches... Robbeen did well on the right coz he has the pace to beat defenders but not Mata...his pace not as good as Robben...Mou opt for Oscar as Creative midfield instead of Mata. Everything is goin thru Oscar. Looks like Mou is getting Oscar to replace Mata's role last season as AMF

A really excited match...did not wasted my time to stay up late to watch it...

Iva was lucky to escape red, Ba's performance was terrible....too many offsides, 1 v 1 with keeper but easily gone down after knocked by opposition...and if not mistaken, only 1 shot on goal

imo Oscar is playing as Ozil's role.
Last season under Benitez, Mata, Oscar and Hazard all started coz Chelsea was playing possession football. If this season Chelsea is to have more wing play. Both wings need to be more pacey. Mata and Oscar fight for AMF. That is my ideal Chelsea. thumbup.gif
But it is Mou we are talking about, he must have saw something in Mata that we didn't see. Maybe Mata will perform much better when he gain some form and get some rest. He had the longest campaign, Confed Cup took it's toll.
What I'm worrying is that Luiz is not making into the squad. Is he injured? I hope he is. If not, it will speculate everyone that he is ready to leave.

For me
--------------------Cech----------------
--Iva/Azpi---Cahill----Terry/Luiz----Cole
---------Ram------Lamps/mvg---------
--Shurrle/KDB---Oscar/Mata----Hazard
------------Lukaku/Torres--------------

Iva for consistency and strong defending, Azpi for attacking wing play.

Terry in my opinion cannot start every game, especially when champions league is around the corner. So rotation with Luiz.

Ram is sure starter coz of his work rate. I can feel that Mou is making him into another Makelele. Build up play from the back. Solid short pass. The difference between him and Makelele is that Ramires can score.

Lamps/mvg. Lamps can play 90 min, but not twice a week i think. Mvg can provide the strength and stamina that Lamps have.

Shurrle and Kdb to provide pace in wing plays. Oscar and Mata to compete for amf position. I still see Mata as a better amf than winger. Hazard is sure starter.

Lukaku and Torres to fight for starting place. Torres is still Torres, his record last season in Europa League speaks for itself. Lukaku is better than Ba in my opinion. Ba has lost his touches since his transfer from newcastle imo.

Anelka hold the record of the most expensive aggregate trasnfer fees if i am not mistaken... That record simply speaks for itself......those big money that big clubs are willing to spend juz to get him...just a word to describe him....class!

Seriously, i hope we dont sign Willian. We have at least 2 good players in each position dy. If Willian do come, i hope Ba or Moses will be sold or loaned out.
If Ba leaves, Shurrle wil compete for 3rd choice CF and Willian wil play as winger,
If Moses leave, Willian wil compete for winger spot.

Mikel wont leave I think, Mou needs him for ultra defensive games, for example, 1st leg Champions league leading 1-0, 2nd leg Mikel will be chosen for his famous super dm position. haha

I think Willian is Roman's choice, not Mou's. Something like Shevchenko's signing I think. Because the owner wants him, not the manager. The old Mou would have argued with Roman, but this seasoned Mou will quietly accept Willian, in case he needs him. thumbup.gif

Imo, the most ideal situation is Moses to be loaned out. Then Willian is the direct replacement for him.

LMF - Hazard / Shurrle
AMF - Oscar / Mata
RMF - KDB / Willian

With the consistency of Hazard on the left, Shurrle will have limited chance on the left wing. So Shurrle can also compete for CF or false 9 position at the same time. For Ba, well we just wait til january and see if he can recapture his form. If still bad, then just loan him out, Shurrle can be third choice in CF position. thumbup.gif

This sparked something in my head, let's say Oscar were to be played as one of the double pivot. Who is the best accompany for him?

Mine: Oscar + MVG/Oscar + David Luiz/Oscar + Mikel biggrin.gif

Just assessing the options that we have. But it's again all up to the manager.

Interesting to see how Mou can keep everyone happy. With the World Cup 2014 coming, everyone will wan more playing time, sure there will be complains from certain players. Mou's man to man management skill is needed!

Mikel i think is still useful in some games and situations. But Ba.....i think he will be the one to be loaned out. Torres and Lukaku is enough imo. Lets not forget Schurrle can play as false `9' if required. brows.gif

Willian is almost a done deal....but now Eto is part of the deal I heard. Anzhi's owner persuading Roman to sign Eto too I think. Willian I stil can brain...but Eto also? If Eto comes, no doubt both Moses and Ba will leave I think.

Well, the signing of Eto and Willian might increase our chances of winning the Champions League. Both players have a lot of experience playing in the Champions League. Now is up to Mou's management skill, who to rotate, who to play and who to rest. thumbup.gif
