Have checked with EcoWorld, if the DIBS cannot be offered eventually, they will use DIRS "Developer interest reimbursing scheme" instead. Definitely NOT further rebate or what. They seem very confident with their plan B.

So guys, no worries. If something unexpected happens, you can always give up the unit before SPA signing, without any charges.

By the way, I have got my loan approved (with DIBS) and will sign the LO very soon before BNM announces the actual date to abolish DIBS.

I hope above helps to ease those who worries.

To the best of my knowledge, Ecoworld hasn't decided yet. Anyone who bought DA MEN project at USJ should know this DIRS well.

Anyway I advise those who've already secured a unit n had loan approved should sign LO asap before BNM announces the effective date of DIBS abolishment. Cuz I believe DIRS certainly not as hassle-free as DIBS although it serves the same purpose.

DIRS or ISS has a lot of kind of schemes offered to the market, and of coz this is a bit troublesome, but nothing to do since BNM already trying to stop all the DIBS now and some banks already effectively did so.

Meanwhile, there are few banks still offering DIBS scheme at the moment, I advise that those who had secured the DIBS LO, please sign it first and if possible, if the LO Date is before the Budget Announcement, please sign and ask the banker you can put that date.

No DIBS is one issue, price and location is another issue, but I reckon Lakeville's S&P is only able to be sign after 1st Jan 2014, where the effective budget would be started and I dunno how the rebates and freebies transparency goes into the S&P ....

it could be potentially offer say, 5% rebates and stated in the S&P and banks would be reduce the margin by offering loan based on net price. If that's the case, buyers would need to fork out 10% dp regardless the discounts being price in.

at least we can see some lights towards this direction about the transparency in pricing mentioned in budget... if comply accordingly, then we can know what we pay for for the apartment alone.. no need to use calculator count here count there, agak here agak there

chris boss, was just doing some initial study on somewhere near your residence.
high 6 to low 7 digits.
let's talk offline.
have a nagging feeling that it should do at least 50% to 200% in 5 years time.
